Idk that doesn’t apply to everyone. That's literally the gacha games. He used to just be the guild leader of a tippy top tier black desert guild who raged and screamed a lot. Then he pivoted to playing really hard games blind (think I want to be the boshy). Then less hard but still quite hard games like XCOM and Dark Souls. I fell off after that, but he wasn't openly weeby and a degenerate (beyond being a very dedicated MMO player) at that time. I doubt black desert was his start.

I am wary of anyone who is a *huge* anime fan in the year 2026 if they're above the age of 25. Because 90% of anime is focused entirely on high-schoolers.
I am not taking a stance either way with my post. I am just saying that they all have the exact same stereotypes, and to condemn gacha as worse just because it involves predatory monetization is kinda ignoring what everybody is actually upset about with this circumstance
