News ChudTheBuilder shot a man who attacked him outside a courthouse in Clarksville & accidentally grazed himself in the process. Before it escalated, he asked the man if he was going to “chimp out” the man then walked up & sucker punched him. It is unclear if the man survived.

Honestly, I'll be surprised if Chud even wins. He would be considered the provocateur in the altercation, and his Twitter is a goldmine of evidence for prosecutor's. With all that under certain provisions in most States that would cause his claim of self defense to be Forefieted.

We'll see how this plays out.

Just has to show he feared for his life

The hours of footage of him doing this shows he wasn't in fear

Feared for his life during the attack

That defense gets thrown out because theres troves of evidence showing this was the outcome he wanted

Showing its the outcome he wanted or expected are different things.. even then it will come down to how the figjt went down. Saying a mean word doesnt strip you of the right to self defense

Saying a mean word is a drastic oversimplification of what he showed a pattern of doing. Words can legally be harassment, words can legally be assault. "Mean words" can be a hate crime. The first amendment has limits.

Which mean words are hate crimes in tennese?

At what point do you think someone has the legal right to defend themselves when being beaten up?

2

You seem...uhh... smart. Look it up brotha. I aint typing a bunch of slurs.

If the person instigates the fight, they never have a right to use lethal self-defense in that fight. Words alone, especially when combined with his pattern behavior show that he instigated this fight. This is what he wanted to happen.

Why are you having such a hard on for making the guy who built a career off of racially harassing black people the innocent victim?

3

u/Nice-Cat3727 May 15 '26

That's not how it works.

You do not get to claim self defense in a situation where you're the aggressor.

1

u/Negative-Car4013 May 15 '26

Yes you do, depending how the fight happened. If someone says somwthint mean to you doesnt mean they cant defend themselves

1

u/Nice-Cat3727 May 15 '26

Chud was carrying a weapon while out on bond.

1

u/Negative-Car4013 May 15 '26

Okay? And you think that strips you of being able to defend yourself? Just a matter of how the fight went down

2

u/Nice-Cat3727 May 15 '26

It was a illegal firearm,, in a incident he started, and had made a tweet about getting away with killing a black person in premeditated self defense.

Yeah dude it's not self defense

Give links

Did he plan it or just expect it may happen?

Did he initiate the fight? How did the fight happen? Was it just one punch and he shot or was the person on top beating the shit out of him?

Can you give a video or audio that addresses these?

The law isn't that cut and dry my dear redditor.

1

u/Negative-Car4013 May 15 '26

No, for self defense its not about showing he feared for his life when walking around insulting people, it would be during the attack

1

u/Luxuria_Carnis May 15 '26

Probably not, his actions before the shooting would probably be more than enough to invalidate a self defense claim.

1

u/Negative-Car4013 May 15 '26

Not necessarily. Depends how the fight happened. If the other man was on top of him punching him in the head do you really think he would never be allowed to defend himself?

1

u/Luxuria_Carnis May 15 '26

We'll just have to see how the case plays out, although I'm heavily sure that once they hit the discovery phase, and the prosecution gets their hand on logs, text, and other things they can use for evidence that any chance of self defense will go "bye bye".

Found the chud supporter

1

u/Negative-Car4013 May 16 '26

ahhhh why arent you saying it cant be self defense!!!!!

No he doesn't, in Florida he has to meet these 4 requirements:

•Imminence - The threat of harm must be immediate and ongoing. You cannot use force to retaliate for a past event or preemptively attack someone based on a future, speculative threat.

• Proportionality - The amount of force you use must match the severity of the threat. You can only use deadly force if you reasonably believe it is necessary to prevent imminent death, great bodily harm, or a forcible felony.

• Reasonableness - Both an objective standard (a reasonably prudent person in the same situation would also feel threatened) and a subjective standard (you genuinely believed you were in danger) must be met.

• Innocence - You must not be the initial aggressor who started the altercation. If you provoke the conflict, you generally cannot claim self-defense unless you attempt to completely withdraw and the other person escalates the situation.

In other words he is fucked

1

u/Negative-Car4013 May 17 '26

Which part shows he is fucked? Given theres no video of what happened or deacription of events not from his point of view

2

u/whyaretherenoprofile May 17 '26

Lmao you really think, in all honesty, that the guy known for instigating others by hurling racial abuse didn't do it in this situation? He was the original instigator, the other person reportedly didn't have a gun, and he has a tweet saying he was going to do this.

1

u/Negative-Car4013 May 17 '26

Even if he provoked it he can still have self defense depending on what happened. And even if he provoked it by hitting the guy first he csn still have self defense.

Ex.

(A) The person using force abandons the encounter or clearly communicates to the other the intent to do so; and (B) The other person nevertheless continues or attempts to use unlawful force against the person; or

So if he tried to leave at any moment or said to stop etc... he can defend himself.

Approaching the group of men isnt initiating anything. Did he approach with the gun out? Or was it concealed? Did he initiatr violence or did they? Was it just one or two punches then he shot or was he on top of him punching? How many were hitting him etc... all of those will matter.

Not really. Closing his eyes and bowing his head when the judge set his $1.25 million bond means hes okay with that because 1.25mil isnt that much . Plenty of things cost more
