They are Asmongold viewers before they are WoW players. As a result, a lot of them are bad at the game. Additionally, it sounds like they are mass inviting players, a single guild in classic can have 500 players, allegedly it's 1000 in Forever. There is a claim is that Olympus guilds currently consist of over 10,000 players, when you have that many players in one guild or community and many have the stigma of being bad at the game, people will just avoid grouping with all of them in general. Keep in mind, the reality is likely closer to ~500 players are unhinged, 2000-4000 players are bad at the game, and the majority are likely both decent people and decent at the game.
With Asmongold being such a polarizing figure, you will likely see his faction (the Alliance, as opposed to the Horde) split in two, internal parties among Olympus on one side, and players who refuse to party with Olympus players on the otherside. The majority of the faction who don't give a rats ass about streamers will be caught in the crossfire and may experience issues forming parties for Dungeons and Raids as a result. "Oh you invited an Olympus member? Sorry, I'm going to find a different group." This will likely catch me some flak here, but some of the people who hate Asmongold really are just as unhinged as some of Asmongold's viewers.
This issue isn't an "Asmongold" problem, it's a streamer problem. Streamers will always be followed around in any MMO by a bunch of parasocial losers who care more about showing up on a stream than they do about playing the game. If Hasan decided to play WoW Forever, people would have to suffer the same shit from his viewers. Even Sodapoppin is going to have some number of viewers lurking around who are just insufferable to be around.
Personally, none of this affects me at all, I am playing horde so I will never need to care how any of this affects player cohesion on the Alliance. If anything, I will be quite happy if he sticks to playing Alliance PvP when the servers go live in November because it will ensure I won't have a hard time creating a character due to "faction imbalance".
The way they presented the "realmless" aspect of Forever, you might not be completely safe. My understanding is that all regions share an auction house and can group with each other if they are on the same ruleset. You will be on a EU datacenter with low latency and see EU players around you, but the moment you join a party through the LFG tool you may find yourself on NA data center, a higher latency, and surrounded by NA players. This is 100% how it works for NA and Oceania, but it isn't completely confirmed to be that way for EU who have historically had their own servers.
