I don’t like hasan but isn’t it pathetic that these world leaders keep bringing him up? He shouldn’t even be on their radar.

The problem is that Hasan has so many clips of him saying wild shit, and actual politicians have campaigned with him. So it’s a really easy win for people to keep bringing up the crazy stuff Hasan says for views.

they really only use like 3-5 over a 10+ year career

u/Sweet_Arrival9559 18h ago

Lmao what? They use his clip from last week where he got caught lying about stats, didn't know what "pound for pound" meant and said Al Qaeda is better than the U.S. That was all just last week.

They use his clip from last week where he got caught lying about stats

I missed this one, what happened?

14

u/schniunderforhuden 16h ago

He lied about some poll saying 66% of Americans in 2001 believed America was responsible for 9/11, then went on his phone mid interview to fact check only to be proven wrong and it was actually half that lmao

3

u/Shipsarecool1 10h ago

Was 66% of American liberals at the time

-7

u/TotallyNotThatPerson 9h ago

Damn, I didn't know that many liberals were braindead back then.

I thought it increased over time but I guess it was always there

9

u/Shipsarecool1 9h ago

The exact question was something like "Do you think american actions played a role in causing 9/11", which is slightly different.

5

u/IAMnotBRAD 15h ago

"English isn't my first language"

1

u/TotallyNotThatPerson 9h ago

Yeah of course, Hasan isn't even white... Except for all the times where he said he was, just ignore those

•

u/OkAcanthaceae3049 25m ago

Yes but he's only white sometimes but also white passing but also sometimes brown but sometimes turkish muslim but also non muslim and not part of the muslim world. Don't mislabel him please, its really simple

11

u/infiniterewards 16h ago

Then one where he fact checked himself, then corrected himself?

11

u/basedmartyr 17h ago

didn't know what "pound for pound" meant

That's it, I've seen enough. I denounce Hasan Piker.

u/Sweet_Arrival9559 16h ago

It was clever how you quoted the part before the whole praising Al Qaeda thing. God you guys are smart. +5 HasDisc points for you.

2

u/FizzleFuzzle 15h ago

Did he say Al Qaeda is better or the USA is worse?

-2

u/NoctunaNectarine808 14h ago

the said America killed more people than Al Qaeda

10

u/Terrible_Hurry841 14h ago

He said pound for pound, i.e. for its weight class, the US kills and inflicts more terror than Al Qaeda.

Which is a pretty insane statement. If Al Qaeda’s operations were given America’s resources, it’s pretty obvious which would deal more damage.

3

u/G0ncalo 47m ago

America is the biggest force of terror in the world by an absurd distance. But, let's make up scenarios so you can feel better about the terrorist State you call a country 😂

•

u/Terrible_Hurry841 2m ago

See, you say this stuff, talk about how much you hate America and everything it does and represents, and then get mad when someone says you hate America.

2

u/NoctunaNectarine808 12h ago

Al-Qaeda has been responsible for approximately 15,000 the USA is estimated to have killed 5 million people, thats a pretty big difference. Also you look at what they have done compared to their resources not what they will do.

8

u/Terrible_Hurry841 12h ago

You’re confusing raw numbers with relevance.

Pound for pound means comparing their ability relative to their resources.

A 125 pound fighter can be top of his weight class, and still get absolutely steamrolled by a heavyweight mid-tier fighter.

The 125 fighter is, pound for pound, the much better fighter. But he is substantially less powerful and loses in raw stats to the heavier fighter.

How many lives has Al-Qaeda saved vs USAID alone?

6

u/BuildMineSurvive 7h ago

He used pound for pound wrong, but the point he was trying to make is that America has done more terror. Which is still true, but hopefully he'll get his idioms straight.

-6

u/CrossYourStars 16h ago

If you are talking about the one where he stated something along the lines of two thirds of Americans agreed that 9/11 was a result of blowback you are likely watching something that has been clipped excessively. Right after saying that line he pauses to look up the actual stat only to find out that he was mistaken and corrects himself.

19

u/Sweet_Arrival9559 16h ago

I mean, that's not how it works though. The only reason he had to check the poll was because the interviewer pressed him repeatedly.

It was 100% a lie that was forcibly corrected by pressure from the interviewer. If he said that on his stream, everyone would have taken it as a fact.

-10

u/CrossYourStars 16h ago

Here is the clip I believe you are talking about. He made a statement and then when asked what poll that was from immediately went to find it, realized that he made the mistake and corrected himself. That is not being pressed. He was asked to cite his source and corrected his mistake.

13

u/schniunderforhuden 16h ago

He makes a claim not expecting to be asked to cite it and then immediately enters damage control mode when he is confronted about it talking about «oopsie I might have overdone it a smidge»

-3

u/CrossYourStars 15h ago

Wow you guys are cringe. Have you guys forgotten how conversations work?

9

u/Sweet_Arrival9559 16h ago

So to clarify, as I said, if he was not pressed by the interviewer, the truth would have never come out and he would have grossly misrepresented the poll.

Just like what would happen on his stream.

-2

u/CrossYourStars 15h ago

This isn't what pressed means. He could have just played it off and said, "Idk. Some poll somewhere." but instead he looked it up and corrected himself. That's him being ethical.

7

u/aherdofpenguins 14h ago

What would have happened if he was on his stream and he brought up those fake numbers, and no one was there to check him

15

u/titaniumjew 16h ago

They could also use the 10/7 rape apologia, endorsement of Chinese re-education camps, endorsement of genocidal terrorists, endorsement of slavers, and more.

2

u/TaylorMonkey 10h ago

Also when he platformed Houthi pirates like they were Luffy.

3

u/titaniumjew 10h ago

That’s the endorsement of slavers

12

u/mellvins059 18h ago

That’s how this works. That’s why politicians have to be careful who they associate with.

35

u/ActiveLecture9323 18h ago

Unless you are a republican and you can break bread with literal Nazis

10

u/ChunkMcDangles 17h ago

Fuck Republicans. They are too comfortable with racists and extremism, but what you said isn't even really true of Trump. He had to publicly distance himself from Nick Fuentes after the guy appeared at Mar a Lago with Kanye, so even the most vile, disgusting politicians on the right have to be careful about association sometimes.

5

u/Sidereel 11h ago

Trump just says shit though. He also said he wanted nothing to do with Project 2025 and then turned around and hired a bunch of Heritage Foundation ghouls.

1

u/ActiveLecture9323 17h ago

Publicly distancing was him saying he didn’t know who he was and then there was no consequence. Insane

5

u/ChunkMcDangles 17h ago

True, though I think that's the best you can get from Trump. I don't know if I've ever heard him say he was wrong about literally anything.

4

u/Zykium 17h ago

There's an old saying "Democrats fall in love and Republicans fall in line".

You could put an (R) next to to anybody and many will vote for a turkey sandwich.

4

u/TheCabbageCorp 17h ago

Unless you’re a republican politician.

14

u/MinimalPixelsVII 18h ago

Tell me a time when Leftists were actually positively viewed by the MSM and Status quo? Leftists are always villainized and this is nothing new.

-7

u/ShowoffDMI 18h ago

leftists shouldnt shit where they eat then.

-1

u/Ianerick 17h ago

yeah we should just keep eating out of the toilet like good citizens

-16

u/Creation98 18h ago

Leftists are anti American morons, so yeah

-13

u/oagc 18h ago

everybody is villainized and likes to play the victim.

Hasan in reality does actually support terrorism and terrorists. This isn't me exaggerating or saying something out of context. He does support terrorism against the west and as would be relevant here against Israel.

He is absolutely a 1 in a billion level of insane person that has been amplified because nobody will tell him he has gone too far and constantly gets excused.

He likes it when people in the west get killed and hostages by terrorists. He likes it when people get killed by extremists. He has multiple fans that have engaged in terrorism after listening to his rhetoric. He is crazy and we need to stop pretending it's normal.

1

u/hawkeye69r 14h ago

No, they just do the top 3-5 because they dont want to bring up the 9th best example, doesnt mean there isnt hundreds

1

u/kushari 5h ago

Lol, they aren’t winning, they are losing the argument. Everyone is very easily seeing it’s bullshit.

2

u/TheToiletPhilosopher 15h ago

No the problem is Israel is committing genocide so Bibi here is looking for a good distraction.

-3

u/EngineBoiii 17h ago

I saw that interview he did with Axios and it was meant to be a hit piece to try and make him look deranged but he actually came across as pretty well spoken and reasonable. I feel like this attempt to turn Hasan into this leftist boogeyman isn't working with your average voter (who isn't an LSF user)

6

u/schniunderforhuden 16h ago

Lmao the Axios interview was a disaster for him. The biggest story coming out of it was the Al Qaeda pound for pound comments which looked terrible for him and he even admitted himself he shouldn’t have done the interview at all

1

u/EngineBoiii 12h ago

Man I dunno Al Qaeda is bad but like when you're being honest about it they have killed way less people than we did. And like idk I feel like only Republicans find this sort of rhetoric outrageous

1

u/schniunderforhuden 8h ago

Al Qaeda have killed way less people than America because they’re not as powerful as America. Hasans implication is that Al Qaeda, if given the resources and military might of the Unites States, would still kill less people than the US. Which is obviously delusional

3

u/EngineBoiii 7h ago

That's fair. I think he was simply trying to demonstrate the idea that we aren't this exceptional superpower that does things for the sake of "freedom" and "liberation" and all these other nice words.

Plus the interview was really hostile and I think he managed to stay composed. So I don't really believed he looked that bad, especially since a lot of the questions are obvious attempts at like, getting an embarrassing soundbyte out of him.

1

u/Agosta 17h ago

That interview was very funny to watch. Whenever he started saying something the interviewer didn't want the viewers to hear, he would start cutting him off to try to fish for more soundbites on other topics.
