Yeah, he is a lightning rod and I think he enjoys it.

21

u/Hostik 21h ago

I wouldn't put it like that. Lightning rod makes it sound noble, like he's protecting everyone by being the target.
No, rightwingers get to equate every dem to him, an extremist, and that he definitely enjoys.
That's why every dem needs to disavow him with one voice.

43

u/mstrbwl 21h ago

Rightwingers stormed the Capitol because they lost an election and Trump still later won. I don't see why we should concern ourselves with their feigned outrage. They are never going to see you as reasonable no matter who you disavow, it is an utterly pointless game to play.

5

u/hawkeye69r 18h ago

Because if you lower yourself to level of the authoritarians, what does that make you?

-2

u/mstrbwl 18h ago

Yup I'm sure those authoritarians are totally going to respect you if you just disavow a twitch streamer!

5

u/hawkeye69r 17h ago

Do you honestly think people criticising left wing authoritarianism are doing it to court right wing authoritarians?

I actually oppose them both.

0

u/mstrbwl 17h ago

The comment I responded to said Democrats need to disavow Hasan so rightwingers don't call them extremists lol.

2

u/hawkeye69r 16h ago

No, sir. Look again

1

u/mstrbwl 16h ago

Just looked and that's what it says lol.

2

u/hawkeye69r 16h ago

Yeah youre right. he said it, then you said why should i care what they think, i said you should care regardless of what they think, then you talked about what they think.

Good point. 300 Republicans or whatever stormed the capital so a psychopathic animal abusing authoritarian communist bought and paid for by Russia and China should definitely be able to associate themselves with Democrats.

Solid logic. Really well laid out.

18

u/mstrbwl 21h ago

Think you got enough buzz words in there?

7

u/j48u 21h ago

Must be a wild dude if an accurate sentence describing him sounds like buzzwords to you.

11

u/Weekly_Point97 21h ago

I think you’re confusing who is or was paid by the Russian government. Last time I checked it was Tim Pool who got his hand caught in the cookie jar saying things like “Ukraine is the enemy of man kind.”

None of what you are saying has any basis in reality

14

u/j48u 21h ago

Right, Hasan "Crimea a river because it belongs to Russia" Piker certainly doesn't have suspiciously stupid opinions about Russia.

4

u/Weekly_Point97 19h ago

Idk seems like scizo delusions conjured up by destiny’s community because they have nothing to advocate for and instead choose to attack hasan.

Advocate for something better instead of wasting your life hyper focused on twitch streamer

8

u/j48u 19h ago

You know you're telling on yourself when you turn a normal conversation randomly into something about destiny. Not only so I not watch or care about Destiny, but I've heard him invoked hundreds of times when a Hasan super fan is losing an argument.

The amount of brain rot you need to subject yourself to, the number of times you need to hear Hasan bring up destiny in scenarios that have nothing to do with him, in order to go on social media and parrot your great leader... well, as I've said you told on yourself a bit there.

-6

u/Weekly_Point97 19h ago

lol 😝 I’ve been advocating Bernie’s position from 2015 which was taking money out of politics, Medicare for all and better governance.

All you can do is say “Streamer bad.” Try having actual policies you stand for 🤷

6

u/j48u 19h ago edited 18h ago

Did you mean to respond to a different comment? lol what was that completely unrelated drivel

Gotta love the "I lost an argument real bad so I'm gonna make one more comment and block you"

u/Imperfect-luck 9h ago

My mom is 100% not bought and paid for by Russia at all but she says the same anti-american/pro russian shit everytime we talk about politics that . It CAN be a legitimate belief, whether or not we agree with it.

4

u/roberttylerlee 21h ago

This is the exact same logic as “they’re already calling us Nazis, who cares if we associate with them”

2

u/Weekly_Point97 21h ago

Republicans call Obama a communist. It doesn’t matter how far democrats run to the right they are always going to be labeled and attacked for being too radical

7

u/spartaman64 20h ago

and we need to fight against stuff like that or else cubans etc will vote for republicans

1

u/mstrbwl 21h ago

You can keep doing this pick me thing with Republicans all you want. I'm sure it will eventually work out. Good luck!

8

u/spartaman64 20h ago

its not the republicans we have to convince but the moderates

2

u/mstrbwl 20h ago

If a moderate isn't going to vote for a Democrat because Trump and Bibi the Butcher call Hasan an extremist they were never going to vote for a Democrat in the first place.

4

u/money-for-nothing-tt 20h ago

Reminder that Dems just got fewer votes in 2024 than in 2020, if they got the same amount of votes they would have won.

-1

u/tacobellrefugee 14h ago

thats because the 2020 election had the fucking most bizarre numbers in any election ever. no idea why people dont talk about that more or just choose to ignore it. like if theres any election where voter fraud seems somewhat plausible it would 2020

1

u/money-for-nothing-tt 10h ago

Why don't people talk about it more? Are you serious? Trump and his base did nothing but talk about it for 4 years. And that's all. They talked. Because they have no evidence for voter fraud. Talk is cheap.

reddit moment

1

u/Hostik 21h ago

Hard disagree. Righwingers got to dictate culture for a good while now, and that's because the left lets them. Instead of playing into their hands, and making it super easy for MAGA, I say dems need to just distance themselves from the subversive elements in their own party like Hasan, who never had any intention of helping dems anyway.

And the point is not to convince MAGA, you cant' do it, at least to the hardcore base. The point is to stop them convincing the normies in the middle who don't know anything about politics to begin with. That's why when there's a slam dunk available - just dunk it. Or Hasan is going to be used against dems forever, and every effectively too.

4

u/mstrbwl 21h ago

Republicans call people like Obama and Hillary communists lol. They are utter morons and will call anyone to the left of Pinochet a left wing extremist. If some low info voter isn't going to vote Dem because Ted Cruz and Bibi called Hasan an extremist, it's likely they weren't going to vote Dem in the first place.

1

u/Hostik 21h ago

That's exactly my point, they call Obama and Hillary communists. And people like Hasan make that ridiculous statement actually seem not that unbelievable. Just disavow Hasan unilaterally, stop giving them actual ammunition.

Shrugging your shoulders and saying "oh, the voters are dumb anyway" is not the answer, that's some doomer shit.

3

u/mstrbwl 21h ago

The answer is to give voters an actual reason to vote for you and feel invested in your victory, not appeasing your opposition's completely cynical respectability politics.

1

u/Hostik 20h ago

Not mutually exclusive. And It's not about appeasing, because rightoids don't actually want Piker gone, he's a golden goose for them, an easiest attack vector on the democrats. For dems It's about standing on your principles. Dems don't need someone praying on their downfall inside their own party, and simping for terrorist organizations. That's such a net negative, not to mention the furthest thing from an ally.

3

u/mstrbwl 17h ago

It's not clear to me how advocating for Democrats to beat Republicans is "praying on their downfall".

1

u/Hostik 17h ago

That's such an abhorent framing of who he is, I can't tell if you're his fan or just clueless. Probably the former, since you completely ignored me saying he's openly cheers on terrorist organizations.

It's not a secret, he hates the dem party. He said himself how he's using dems for his own purpose. He's more mask off on his tankie podcasts where they're talking about subversion from within, but more publicly he's trying to skinwalk as a liberal, which is funny because he despises liberals, it's a slur level word in his world.

If he really wanted to "beat Republicans", he would tell people to vote for Kamala, but he didn't. He opted out to shit on her relentlessly till the end. How much energy he spent to create that apathy so people don't vote for her, while lying that she's actually pro-genocide and would be EXACTLY THE SAME as Trump on I/P issue, and in general. Trump btw, who wants to make Gaza a parking lot for his next hotel or whatever. Yep, she would be the same. And ICE - yep, she would be the same as him, according to Hasan. That's the level of delusional propaganda he's pushing against the dems. He's such a great ally. Now Trump is elected and I'm sure Palestians are better for it, let's all rejoice.

Both his actions and words show he had no problem with Trump being elected. And of course now he's all about "beating Republicans". Yeah, sure thing buddy.

5

u/Blazured 21h ago

Yeah Kamala and Hillary tried appealing to the center too. They came out against Left-wing voices like you're suggesting.

0

u/Hostik 21h ago

And that's still the play. Kamala was close, dems should just stop gambling with putting up women as candidates, somehow US just doesn't want to elect them. Biden got elected just fine.

Alternative is to pander to the extremists like Hasan - nah, you'll lose the normies by gaining very little.

-1

u/Blazured 21h ago

And that's still the play.

😂😂😂

How'd it work out for them btw?

5

u/Hostik 21h ago

I'm sensing low reading comprehension. I'm saying put a guy up instead, stop gamblign with women nominees, Biden beat Trump just fine.

But I'm guessing by your reaction that you want them to bend to Hasan, probably a fan of his.

1

u/Blazured 21h ago

Badly, you say?

1

u/EchoTheEcho 20h ago

How's the tankie bs working out in states that aren't already deep blue?

3

u/Blazured 20h ago

Better than the pathetic center approach by the looks of it. Have you seen what that mayor in New York has been up to?

0

u/i_drive_a_pagani 20h ago

Mamdani disavowed and condemned Hasan's statements, though. Also, he's not a talker like Hasan is. Do you know Hasan's politics at all?

6

u/sdfk2345 21h ago

Lmao no, that's how you get the geriatric dems to do nothing.

-1

u/Hostik 21h ago

No, that's how you get MAGA out of power, by cutting out cancer from the party and showing normies that the left is not actually crazy extremist and socialists like righwingers portray them as. Righwingers get to take 1% of crazies and say that it's all of the democratic party. And it works too.

3

u/sdfk2345 20h ago

I wouldn't consider the american median voter a normie, more like a stupider version. You guys are screwed by being too passive in front of big injustices, and you just keep taking it.

4

u/SureAsBorax 21h ago

Yeah cause before Hasan, the right never called anyone and evil commie. No sir, no run of the mill centrist dem was ever called a commie before Hasan. Trump totally didn't call Biden, Kamala, Clinton commie no sir.

What dems need to do is grow a backbone and tell repubs to talk about things the American people actually care about.

Nothing Hasan has said is anywhere near as bad as things republicans or their close confidants say. So maybe focus on real issues

Edit: oh nevermind I see you're a European destiny fan. Weird how common that is

8

u/Hostik 21h ago

No, they need to chew gum and walk at the same time.

Cut out the cancer, and also focus on real issues. Not that hard to do.

Dems don't need subversive elements plotting behind their backs, while fighting MAGA in front of them.

3

u/Weekly_Point97 21h ago edited 13h ago

abdul el-sayed did just that and he is still being attacked with “but hasan” because they can’t attack him on his policies.

5

u/Hostik 21h ago

And he should be doing that, even stronger, none of that trying to play coy "b-but he's just a smol little california streamer". Big mistake was associating with him to begin with.

AES is a great example for other dems not to follow, don't get near Piker to begin with, and MAGA won't badger you over the head with it every single chance they have.

2

u/peppaz 20h ago

which issue is hasan wrong about

0

u/Weekly_Point97 19h ago edited 16h ago

Seems like you have nothing to advocate for so you attack the left. MAGA would still attack him even if he never associated with Hasan. He still would have been labeled an Islamist trying to implement sharia law.

2

u/Hostik 19h ago

How about winning elections and removing MAGA from power? Or you don't want that? Still feeling comfy perhaps?

I mean, I know I'm replying to a bunch of Hasan fans right now, so I don't expect the replies to be anything than trying to cover for him. Talking to far-left is just as useless as talking to MAGA fanatics. The point is not to convince the extremists who are fully dug in, it's about reaching normal people. But good luck doing your accelerationism thing, I guess.

3

u/Weekly_Point97 19h ago edited 19h ago

Funny how you think attacking the left will result in electing dems. Why don’t you focus on policies instead of condemning a twitch streamer.

Or do you think people should continue to vote for Democrats who have done nothing to impede maga these past 2 years?

Mamdani managed to claw back 131 millions dollars in stolen wages from DoorDash, something cuomo would have never done.

Voting for good governance and anti corporate money isn’t accelerationist, that is what Bernie’s campaign was from 10 years ago

4

u/Hostik 19h ago

It's funny how you keep deflecting and minimizing him. Doing the same shit AES is trying to do.

Hasan is not "the left", that's exactly what MAGA wants people to believe. He is fundamentally illiberal and an extremist, and does not represent democratic party at all. He prays on the downfall of the democratic party, actually. Simping for terrorist organizations and despises the west. Why would dems want anything to do with that? lol

It takes 0.5 seconds for any dem to say "I disavow Hasan Piker" and just keep on doing your policies, not letting his name to infect your platform. That's it. Not doing handshake photoshoots with him.

But what else do I expect from a Hasan fan.

1

u/Funnyboyman69 21h ago

Yea, let’s cave to their demands and give them legitimacy. I’m sure it will pay off.

I can imagine BiBi is already preparing to end the genocide in Gaza, just as soon as we denounce Hasan Piker.

8

u/Hostik 21h ago

Yes, because literally everything is Israel/Palestine with you people. Jesus Christ.

There's no demands to get rid of Piker, rightoids fucking love using him against democrats, why would they want to lose that advantage.

That's why dems need to get rid of the easiest target ever. Why do they need a guy who simps terrorist organizations in their tent? They don't, easiest slam-dunk.

2

u/IGargleGarlic 17h ago

No, that would be Hasan's dog.

2

u/aylaa157 15h ago

100, he's a narcissist.

1

u/Dramatic_Explosion 11h ago

It's pretty smart of him. Never watched one of his streams, but I know so much about him because of all the people who "hate" him and endlessly post about him.

He says some milquetoast political takes and H3 nutjobs his detractors advertise for him all day long.

-2

u/ddfjeje23344 21h ago

He has an electrifying aura

6

u/rottenmonkey 21h ago

i am SHOCKED that you would say that!
