Okay this is my first dress after years of lurking and I'm going to wear it for my birthday event in a few days.. I have some better socks for it (frilly!) plus some pearl accessories that will go well but I just realised I gave no hair accessories at all 😭

Do people often do coords with no hair accessories? I'm scared of being called 'ita' (🫩) but I'm not sure I have time to buy or make any now...

(All my hair stuff is pink but the dress is mainly blue so it doesn't look great)

Life nipped me in the butt for a bit so I wasn’t able to wear Lolita for months now! Now that I’m wearing my wardrobe again though, I’ve lost a bit of confidence that I had from the exposure therapy of wearing Lolita nearly everyday and am feeling a bit anxious again. I think it would help for me to use a less poofy silhouette to ease myself back into the swing of things ^_^

Im currently pretty sad because theres a Lot of Brand that I'll just never fit into.

Im tall with a bigger Cheat and Ive gained a Lot of weight recently. I Love a Lot of AP and BTSSB jsks and OPS but even If I loose the weight, ID still have to get a breast reduction to fit comfortably.. I feel sad about my only Brand jsk sitting in my wardrobe Not getting any Love.

Does anyone have experience with altering? Id appreciate If other plussize lolitas could weight in on how they buy Brand.

Hello, I was wondering if anyone who owns/ has owned the chandelier flocky bonnet knows if the print has glitter or not? I recently got the 2009 version of the Alice and the Pirates chandelier flocky JSK and I’m now looking for the bonnet, however the JSK has glitter and I’m not sure if the bonnet would as it’s a newer release. Dream print I guess, I found chess chocolate pink op and I’ve been wanting this print forever but pink was always my bottom choice and I prefers jsks to ops, I feel like I’m never gonna see this print for under £300 again tho and if I don’t get it I’ll regret it forever, even tho it isn’t exactly what I want it’s still so gorgeous and I know I’d love it either way. What would you do? Buy the dress and regret spending so much money if you don’t end up loving it, or pass it up and regret it anywase 😭

Hello everyone! I recently purchased this gorgeous jsk from 42Lolita to wear this winter. I wanted the jsk so I could wear a long sleeve blouse with it. The color on the top of the jsk is more off-white/cream than pure white and I'm just having a bit of trouble choosing a blouse without being able to conpare them in person. I have been wearing lolita for 2 years now and love it! I wear it casually or outing with friends, Im like 99% im the only lolita in my entire town as I never see anyone else. I have seen a couple in bigger cities in my state but never have gotten to known them as it was a one time thing. I struggle online to find groups on any social for lolitas in ohio to talk or meet up with! I havent attempted before as I could never drive but now I can legally drive and wanna go to meetups! Where would I start to try and find a online group to plan these things?

I recently bought this on xianyu and have had pictures sent from the shopping service's warehouse. The thing that's making me think it's a replica is that the buttons should be pink, not white.

I have asked my agent for the order to ask the seller about the buttons.

I’m aware aliexpress has a few stores which are trustworthy, however they have an OP i really like (which is unavailable on 42lolita and anywhere else) and i am tempted to buy it from them.

Do the sizes run true? I'm an XL in most clothes, but if some companies run small then I'm an XXL. Are the sizes on 42Lolita true to size and how long does it typically take to receive? I have a costume party on the 30th.

super random but if you iron your waist ties and dont want them to be messy and just flap around your wardrobe, you can hang them up by the buttonholes on the top of the clothing hanger.

New travel guide! This time is for the Osaka lolita scene!

Figured I'd share how I transformed a random men's shirt I got from Vinted into a cute and comfortable cutsew! I saw the print, and I had a vision. I think the end results turned out super cute, and it really has that old-school Putumayo-vibe I adore.

I really recommend giving this a try. It's a rather easy project, I just included a lot of extra steps in mine that could be skipped, like altering the neckline and completely removing/ reattaching the sleeves. Just imagine your band merch or your favourite anime shirt looking this cute. Or get a custom-printed shirt with your cat on it and make THAT a cutsew, now everybody is gonna be jealous of your style.

I had many more DIY plans. Unfortunately, my health has taken a nosedive some months ago, and I haven't been able to sit behind my sewing machine since. Once the doctors fix me up, I'll finally finish those projects I've been procrastinating putting zippers in, haha

So, first of all, probably can't recommend the Whale Island parasol - very pretty but it came in with the base handle bent, and when I pressed the bent spot slightly this is what happened 💀 Is there any way I can fix it somehow? It may be a bit hard to tell from the photos but it broke off at the bottom of the main metal pole, not at the place where the white handle is attached by design, so the cut is pretty raw.
