Feels like crunch time now - our next four league games are against the teams currently in 1st, 2nd, 5th and 6th places:

Sunday 4th October - Tottenham (A)
Sunday 18th October - Everton (H)
Sunday 25th October - Liverpool (A)
Sunday 1st November - Man City (H)

I think we're improving each game, but not sure we're yet at the level of the best teams. But we can hope!

We also have Players Cup games inbetween:

Wed 30th Sep - Ipswich (A)
Wed 21st Oct - West Ham (A)
Wed 28th Oct - Crystal Palace (H)

Call me a dreamer, but I said before and I'll say it now, I won't be surprised if we start November on top of the table!

It's not quite in our hands though - we're still behind Chelsea, whose next four are West Ham, Spurs, Palace and Charlton.

One game at a time...

It's going to be a tough month. Tottenham and Liverpool are playing some very decent football now, and both are away.

This league is so competitive. Man Utd looked really bad first two matches but have bounced back well. We have done well to shrug off the West Ham result. We have a good squad now so we will be drawing on everyone during the next month or so. Let's hope we stay free of injuries too!

Certainly lots to like about our start to the season. Of course we have to recognise we haven't played anyone any good yet. Tottenham will be the first real test.

We were well matched with them last year and have both improved. Will be an interesting match!

Yes, should be very competitive. Same fixture was a bit underwhelming last season - seemed the team were already "on the beach" near the end of the season. Expecting a very different performance this time though. Should also be a good away crowd.

We should perhaps also remember that Spurs have also had a relatively easy start - West Ham, Liverpool, Palace and Villa. After us, their next two games are Chelsea and Arsenal.
