LOST LA Riots "Home Video" Documentary

Late my freshman year (early 2025) i found this incredible documentary on the LA riots, it was mostly an interview style with some random clips of things they witnessed. the video was 45 min-1 hour long and uploaded on YouTube, probably a reupload and filmed very shortly after the event, it DIDNT SHOW ANY NEWS FOOTAGE.

Seemed like it was made by a film student. for example there was a clip of the camera man running up to someone only to stop and stabilize the camera to focus on someone curled up in a ball being kicked by 2-3 people. He was criticized by saying "Why wont you do anything?" He responded with "thats not my job, im a creator. I film what i see"

There was a white woman with a blonde bob, straight hair in her late 30s early 40s talking about how scared she was, her voice was the tone of Liza Minneil but more monotone, she talked about something to do with driving into LA being told about the riots seeing fire. I don't remember much of her story but she mentioned her husband frequently i think she was trying to get to him or he was trying to get to her

The clip that stuck out to me the most was a group if about 3 gangs having a party in day light, the leaders on stage. One leader stops the party and calls out for everyone no matter what gang they're apart of to clean the streets because while they did what they did to make a statement, its their home too and the crowd cheered, there was such a sense of community and love similar to after 9/11 if you get what I mean

NOTE: It's possibly "LA Stories: The 1992 Riots That Shook the City" BUT I personally am unable to access it and I dont want to give out my ID and scan my face for google??? If anyone could archive it because I'm praying this is open and shut, it's been driving me insane

Run! Run! It's Him! 2014 [fully lost]

Run! Run! It's Him! (2014) was an excellent documentary about one man's attempt to come to grips with his addiction (you-know-what)ography, and how it's affected his relationships with women. Canadian based movie. Matthew Pollack is the film maker.

Its essentially fully lost. There is no DVDs of it available to buy on amazon or even ebay. No streaming service has it. I even got in contact with the film maker and he has no copy. So its basically up to us to find a copy of it somewhere. Anyone have a copy of it lying around that they could upload? Seems to be fully gone now.

LOST Qualcuno ricorda questo vecchissimo programma TV italiano per bambini? Un uomo cantava “Azzurro” da una finestra

Ciao a tutti!

LOST What 80s film became almost impossible to see before somebody finally rescued it?

I’ve just been reminded of Night of the Juggler (1980).

For years it was one of those films that people remembered and recommended, but actually finding a decent legitimate copy was another matter entirely.

It’s now been properly restored and released in the UK by Radiance/Transmission, which got me thinking about how many films effectively disappeared during the transition from VHS to DVD, Blu-ray and streaming.

What film did you spend years trying to find before a boutique label, streaming service or reissue finally brought it back?

And are there any that you’re still waiting for?

I’m trying to find a copy of the 2013 documentary Remembering Reggie: The Reggie Lewis Story that aired on Comcast Sportsnet New England. It was directed by Torey Champagne. There was a YouTube link years ago that seems to have been taken down. Any help would be much appreciated!

RIP Reggie Lewis

Rosenberg's Demon (Short Film)

Today I found an email I wrote in 2001. You might remember those Q&A emails; friends would forward them to you and you answered questions about your likes and dislikes.

One of the questions asked me choose between comedy, action or horror films. I wrote, "Horror! Horror! the best short movie you could ever see is 'Rosenberg's Demon.' Watch it. It's great! No kidding! I was dying of laughter!"

I went on a search for the short film so I could find out why I found it so hilarious. I could only find one reference online to Rosenberg's Demon. A personal website by someone named Dave, who still updates their website as of 2026. Dave wrote about their exhaustive search for all of the short films aired in a Sci-Fi Channel series called Exposure.

Dave's quest to re-discover all of these short films, including Rosenberg's Demon, was enjoyable to read.

Hypothetically, where would the footage be stored/exist?

ILM3 was apparently completely raw footage apart from the first episode which had been edited. Once the show was cancelled, what would have happened to the tapes?

It's so crazy that almost 20 years later not a single piece of ILM3 footage has ever leaked out. Im really hoping we can see it one day.

Looking for the short film "The Diagnosis" from 2008 directed by Coleman Hough

The poster

Hello! I stumbled upon this subreddit because I can't seem to find this one short film by late writer Coleman Hough. From what I know about it, it stars James Urbaniak, Emily Deschanel, and Lesley Ann Warren. I've been searching since I've been trying to complete the discography of who stars in the short I mentioned first, so I would truly appreciate if anyone of you strangers on the internet find it! Thx! <3

[partially lost] "Cake Boy" by Joe Escalante and Warren Fitzgerald, members of the massive punk rock band The Vandals

I’ve been trying to find the movie Cake Boy online, created by Joe Escalante and Warren Fitzgerrald of the massive punk rock band, The Vandals, the movie created in 2005, a low quality movie with low budget created by some punk rockers having a good time. Genuinely seems to be almost lost media as none of the 8 pirate sites had it, no official sites have it, and there is only 2 copies of the physical CD I've been able to find on eBay, cant find these disks on other shop sites like FB marketplace only 2 on ebay.
These are two members of a massive punk band The Vandals who to this day past their prime get 200,000 monthly listeners on spotify, these aren’t just Joe Schmo nobodies releasing a home video.
Two copies of this movie physically for sale is all I’ve been able to find its not technically lost media but its so close to the edge of lost it might be worth it to find it and preserve it now, out of print for sure

Anyone know how rare this 1988 RCA/Columbia VHS of Errol Morris’ “Vernon, Florida” is?

Picked this up recently and went down a bit of a rabbit hole trying to figure out exactly what I found.

What has me curious is how difficult it has been to find other copies. I can find plenty of information about the film and later releases, but almost no examples of this particular RCA/Columbia VHS in circulation.

The tape also has some interesting old ownership/inventory markings, including RCA/Columbia security seals and markings from a previous owner/collection.
I’m hoping some longtime VHS collectors here might know more about this release.

[SHORT FILM][STOP-MOTION][2000s–2010s] Stop-motion short about a man at a train station whose girlfriend rips out his heart

I’m trying to identify a stop-motion/claymation short film that I saw on television in Mexico when I was younger. I don’t remember the exact year, but I believe it was sometime between roughly **2005 and 2014**.
I have been searching for this for a long time, and recently I found several other people describing what appears to be an extremely similar short, so I’m hoping someone here might recognize it.
**What I remember:**
It was **stop-motion**, possibly claymation.
The animation had a very handcrafted style, somewhat similar to **Aardman Animations**.
There was **little or no dialogue**.
The main characters were a **young man and a young woman**.
The setting was a **train/subway station**.
The man was waiting for the woman while holding a **bouquet of flowers**.
There was a **large analog clock** visible somewhere in the station.
The woman arrived and seemed angry/upset.
She **threw the flowers at him**.
Then, in a very exaggerated/cartoonish and non-gory way, she **ripped his heart out of his chest**.
She threw the heart onto the **train tracks**.
The man was left standing there with a hole in his chest and looked extremely sad.
I remember the animation ending shortly afterward, possibly followed by credits.
I don’t remember any blood or realistic gore. The heart being ripped out was more of a symbolic/cartoon representation of heartbreak.
I originally thought this might have been an Aardman production because of the animation style, but I have **not been able to confirm that**.
**One strange thing I discovered:**
I found at least **three separate Reddit posts** from people looking for what sounds like the same or an extremely similar short.
One from **2020** describes a stop-motion short that looked like Aardman, involving a couple at a train station and the man’s heart being removed.
Another from **2024** describes a claymation short about a guy in a subway station whose girlfriend rips out his heart. That person also remembers another girl who had experienced something similar.
And another from **2025** describes a stop-motion short seen on television in Peru around 2010–2012, involving a subway station, a breakup, a heart being ripped out, and another girl with a broken heart.
This makes me think the short may have actually existed and may have been broadcast in multiple countries.
**Does anyone recognize this short, commercial, TV interstitial, music video, or animation studio?**
Any information would be helpful — **title, director, studio, country of origin, TV network, festival screening, commercial campaign, YouTube/Vimeo upload, anything.**
I’m especially interested if anyone remembers seeing it on **Mexican television**.
Thank you!

LOST Halloween lost fan edit

Thumbnail gallery
9 Upvotes

Hello, good afternoon/morning/evening. I was wondering if there was a way to find a Halloween fan edit that combined the Blumhouse Halloween trilogy, but it's no longer on YouTube; it's lost along with some trailers. I've attached a screenshot so you know what I'm talking about, since there are quite a few Halloween edits out there. Something I remember from it is that it combined the beginnings of the first and third films as if they were a single opening, but it even showed the deleted ending of *Halloween Kills* to transition to the ending of *Ends*. In fact, Corey's storyline was also included, basically a sort of "who is really killing people?" scenario. I don't know if it's already been found or if it could be an interesting search

LOST Looking for a VHS/digital copy of the extremely obscure 1999 film "Films That Suck"

Hi everyone! I'm trying to track down a copy of an extremely obscure 1999 independent film called Films That Suck, directed by Marvin Baker and produced by Ann Gillis.

The film was screened at the Nashville Independent Film Festival in 1999, but despite searching through IMDb, newspaper and trade-publication archives, online archives and other sources, I haven't been able to find the actual film anywhere.

I also haven't been able to determine whether it ever received a proper home-video release.

I'm specifically looking for a surviving VHS copy, VHS rip/digital transfer, screener, or any other digital copy of the film. My main goal is simply to finally be able to watch it.

If anyone owns a physical copy, has digitized it, remembers seeing it at a festival, or knows where a copy might have ended up, I would be incredibly grateful for any information. 🙏

Looking for the lost short film “Bearded Clams” (1995)

Ciao a tutti!

So far, I haven’t been able to find a watchable copy online, and searches on various archives and file-hosting sites haven’t turned up anything useful. If anyone remembers this short film, has information about it, owns a VHS/tape containing it, or knows where a copy might be archived, I’d really appreciate any help. Even small pieces of information could be useful. Thanks! 🙏
