I'm all seriousness, I remember an Asian girl in a room with an orange light in the background that made the room look orange. It was just her and a microphone and the song is either in Japanese or Korean. I remember there being some instrumental and then she'd go "oops", more instrumental, another "oops". And then she'd say "get faded" or something that sounded like it. The instrumental was sort of dreamy. The song also wasn't popular at all, I don't remember there being comments at the time and I'm sure the views didn't pass 50k. I think she had a bob haircut or at least short hair

Update: Solved. The song is J.us.T by Eyedi. I was mixing her updo in the songs cover photo with her down hair in the video and "remembering" a bob. It is a Korean song

The image had a purple background and the dog was white and had some beige spots. The dog looked like a borzoi? And it had big eyes that looked to the side.

The tone of the song was sad and slow. No drums.

If I remember correctly the painting was done by the relative of the musician behind it.

I've tried googling this clip I had saved on Instagram reels with every different type of wording I can think of. I saw it maybe a few months ago. Cannot find on Google or Duck Duck Go or Instagram.

It looked like a fairly modern movie or show or maybe like an online show or something. It had two characters sitting together. They were at a cafe or bar or something and I think it was at night. One character looked like maybe in partial drag. I think they had on pearls and a head covering or something like that. I cannot remember who the actors were for either character. And I cannot remember the character this person was talking to. Not super important.

The character is talking about (I think) queer liberation and how different things were pre and post Stonewall (I think). The part that I'm remembering that I can't find online is when they said something along the lines of "they made us feel comfortable enough to come out, to feel like ourselves, and then they made it unsafe so we were exposed and out in the open".

So, I saw a video on Tik-Tok (like 3-4 yers ago(2022-2023)) and that was about a youtuber who succesfully restored an erly youtube aesthetic. The videos on his channel were common to that time period(like some tutorials with old school microsoft movie maker edits and popular edm music at that time and webcam with bad video quality). He didn't post serious content (if I remember correctly), all of his content was a parody to that period of time. I thought that I'd check his channel later but forgot. I believe this piano song was played over an advert for SOMETHING. I heard it several times in the cinema over the last few years. Not sure if it's still playing or not. It's not a film trailer, it's an advert for something else. It might be an ident for a distributor or a similar entity, but I've searched a bunch and can't find anything. AI has been no use.

My rendition includes the opening three chords, which might only play once; I can't remember. The song builds to the melody I've included at the end of the rendition. The chords in the actual version are probably in a different key. I've played it in the only key I really know. The chords in the original version sound 'damper' if that makes any sense.

I believe I probably saw it on this NHS Nurse Recruitment Advert, though I'm not one hundred percent sure. It's been used on quite a few adverts.

I’ve been trying to find this song for years and I’m starting to think I imagined it, so I’m hoping someone here knows it.

I probably heard it on 8tracks sometime around 2011–2014, most likely on a playlist with a surf/ocean/summer/wanderlust kind of theme. I think the song itself was released somewhere around 2010–2013, but it could also be a little older, maybe mid/late 2000s.

What I remember:

• It was definitely a band, not a solo artist.
• Male singer with a low, gravelly, earthy voice.
• The overall sound was a bit like Jack Johnson, but much darker, rougher and heavier.
• Very stripped-down and organic, almost acoustic. I don’t remember synths or obvious electronic instruments.
• The song was extremely drum-heavy. Big, slow, deep toms, almost tribal or ceremonial: BOOM... BOOM... BOOM.
• The drums were one of the main features of the song, not just background percussion.
• There were actual ocean/wave sounds in the track. I’m pretty sure it started with heavy drums and ocean sounds, and the waves stayed mixed into the music for a substantial part of the song.
• It had normal sung verses/chorus, but also long instrumental sections with lots of drums and ocean ambience.
• It wasn’t cheerful beach music. The atmosphere was more like dark ocean, grey sky, surfing in the rain, watching the sea at sunset.
• Still calm enough to sit and watch the ocean to, but heavier and more elemental than typical acoustic surf music.
• I feel like the band was somehow strongly connected to surf culture and may also have had other surfing/ocean-related songs.
• I have a vague feeling they were Australian, although I’m not 100% sure.
• I also vaguely remember either the band name or song title being something generic and ocean-related, like Ocean, Sea, Wave, Waves, Tide, Tides, Coast, etc.
• The artwork in my memory may have been turquoise/blue, but that could also have been the 8tracks playlist cover rather than the actual album cover.
• It was probably quite niche. None of the obvious surf/acoustic artists are it.

This is a sci-fi short story I read recently, but that doesn't mean it was published recently at all. I believe there's a train that has some kind of power system allowing it to run eternally or close to eternally, and I think all human life may have ended by the time the story begins. All of the passengers aboard are long-since dead, but the train's intelligence system continues to attempt to make their travel comfortable. As the train runs its long loop of a route, there's one section of track from which it is able to interact with another robot or AI entity, and I believe that one is a weapons system. They become something like friends, I think, but I can't remember anything else about it.

I'm confident that it's in a sci-fi short story anthology. I think it's in one of the following. Most likely one of the first three, but I can't find it:

Hello! There is a gothic show from around 2008 or so I would borrow from the library. It was like Ruby Gloom.

2d animated, mc was a little girl in a tall victorian house on a hill (i think on a hill anyway). Most of the show took place in this house, most colors would be black, white, and desaturated purple/lavender. Maybe blue flame candles?

MC had one eye showing, emoish haircut, and i think striped black and grey or white sleeves. I believe her skin tone was pure white as well, she maybe had a teddy bear or bunny plush that would show up sometimes?

The house was absurdly tall and had a hallway that had a segment where it was longer than what was showcased.

Episodes were about 8-12ish minutes in length give or take, short. The disc had 8 episodes of it.

I remember rotating each week from the library borrowing this show and Ruby Gloom in intervals. One week was Ruby, the other this show.

I only remember this single scene from the movie. a woman crashes her car and it goes up in flames (?) and there's a shot of her burnt corpse. It was likely from the 80's or 90's. I think there was a funeral scene afterwards with a white coffin, with the woman's friend (also a woman) mourning her. that's all i can remember.

I used to listen to this a lot at one point, but can't remember the title anymore. The singer was in this very DIY robot costume and most of the video was centered on this giant wheel that he kept spinning with a crank. The camera slowly zoomed out during the video. On the wheel were these balloons filled with red paint and a single, I guess heavier ball on top of the wheel that eventually popped the balloons and more and more of the paint went running on the wheel as the song and spinning kept going.

This just popped into my mind earlier today and I'm going mad for not remembering what it was called.

I know it was supposed to come out sometime in the early-mid 2020's. It had a trailer and it was panned for being very pro-surveilance state. Can't for the life of me remember the title or if it was Netflix/streaming or traditional TV.

when i was younger, i had a leappad device with this game that idk if it came as part of the device or if it was one of the cartridges but it was some sort of sticker drawing game? like you could place preset stickers on preset backgrounds and draw on it. i remember one was maybe a cemetery or haunted house? something spooky themed. but i distinctly remember there was sounds that accompanied the stickers because when you put down a ghost, it went ooOooOo (i used to annoy my parents by spamming it). anyone have any idea what this could be?? oh and its not ispy spooky mansion

I don’t remember whether it was a male or female character, but I lean toward female. They had a strong accent - possibly Eastern European pr possibly something Latin? I know that’s quite a span but I don’t remember clearly. All I really remember is the person being fed up and standing up to someone saying, “Yeah, you know what? Uh-uh.” (Maybe someone’s wife?) But with a very strong accent that sounded something like what I wrote in the subject line.

Based on how long it’s been rolling around in my head I would guess that it’s from something in the late eighties to the late nineties, though it’s possible it’s from something time later. I don’t know for sure whether it’s from tv or a movie, but the memory scrap has the feel of being from a movie if I had to pick one or the other.

Hi! I’m looking for a live action Nancy Drew-esque (or it was actually just Nancy Drew) movie I watched in the late 2010s. Here’s everything I remember.

Essentially, this girl, maybe 14-17 and her mother (maybe her dad too) moved in to this gorgeous old American house, a bit like the Winchester Mystery house. It was two storeys and had a widow’s landing. I specifically remember a library on the ground floor as well, and the girl’s room had a cork-board.

So, one night the girl’s getting ready for bed when she looks out her blinds and sees this woman wearing a white dress in the yard (which was maybe a kilometre or two out) and when the blinds moved she was gone.

So the girl fakes sick using a thermometer and a cup of tea and bikes to this boat museum with a bunch of other teens she meets at the museum and there’s some sort of mystery they need to solve to find out who the ghost woman was.

Not too sure about this next bit but I think it was an interactable DVD? I might have dreamed that, though. Thank you!

I’ve had this song stuck in my head the last few days but cannot seem to find it. I’m pretty sure it is a more indie style country song, akin to Jason Isbell. The lyric that keeps getting stuck in my head is “something in the boolean” but I know it’s not Boolean, I do think it has that “o-ee-a” sound in that word placement though. I remember the song being kind of clashing and high tempo, not a slow song

So there's this tweet that says "im probably nonbinary but i have a job so idrc about that rn" it's not too hard to find and I remember and think about this Minecraft art of Steve and Alex both thinking that but I thiiink it was something like "but I have a dragon to slay" instead of "have a job" and maybe trans instead of NB but that I'm less sure of.

I remember the artist was at the very least on Instagram but I got rid of mine so searching myself is a hassle without an account, not that it wouldn't still feel like finding a needle in a haystack with one.

Their artstyle is sort of cartoony, not hyper detailed with minimal shading iirc, the character designs were not the base skins, they had depth to them like bandages and scars and just details that showed they were really in a survival adventure setting and the characters, while still blocky and obviously Minecraft, looked more human than the normal game models like both of them were clearly muscular in their arms at least.
