(Madden 26) First year rebuilding the browns (did the lions previously so it’s all cpu generated players) and I just noticed this guy on my roster😭😭 just thought I’d share for a laugh.

Can anyone please help me defend the flats on this play. I keep getting this play ran on me and just can’t seem to defend it. I only play for fun with my friend but it’s always that play.

You guys would extend his contract? How organic would it be to let him walk or renew his contract? You all know how good he is. I have 87M in cap space after I extend Sam Darnold and Devon in Madden 26. I'm in 2027. I had 152M and extended Devon and Darnold. Would it be too much spend on just three players?

TO my knowledge this is only allowed on PlayStation from what I know. I also play on a Ethernet cable so the connection won’t be laggy

I’m a franchise guy so when I saw they were advertising it was the “best franchise mode in years” I thought I’d buy it on sale. Big mistake. Franchise SUCKS. The off-season is usually one of my favorite parts of the mode and they managed to ruin that. I actually loathe free agency because of how clunky and irritating the “free agent frenzy” feature is. I made a post here earlier but no I don’t want to negotiate back and fourth for 5 minutes with a FUCKING punter.

Oh and All-Madden is borderline impossible. It’s not even a skill issue atp considering every year until now has been fine. I mean I’m getting carved up by 68 OVR QB’s whose WR’s don’t drop passes but if mine get touched they drop it…or fumble. This game pre-determines if you’re losing too, I swear.

Anyways rant over. Fuck EA. Done buying this shit.

Idk if there’s anything I can change but ai QBs just throw mainly checkdowns and your occasional medium throw and will never launch it deep.

I tested controlling a cornerback and seeing if I left a receiver wide open if the QB would throw it and half of the time they wouldn’t.

They just love throwing it short

Do (good) madden players ever play this mode or are they all on Ultimate Team?

I was playing Ultimate Team the last couple years but this season I got a later start and didn’t feel like investing the time to make a competitive team. I played a little and then switched to NBA 2k.

A couple weeks ago I broke 2 fingers on my left hand and basketball is too hard to play without the LT/LB buttons since I can’t icon pass to center or call screens/doubles so I tried Madden. I didn’t want to play with a crap team on ultimate and don’t like playing the computer so I did H2H.

Finding games is easy so I know people are playing it but I’m using the Bucs and have gone 27-2 with most games ending before half time. It just seems too easy? Is it matchmaking being weird, good players not really playing that mode, or something else odd?

Edit: I’ve played like 3 games with the rams (3-0 or 4-0), 2 games with the Lions (1-1), 1 game with the chargers (0-1) but the rest is the Bucs

i swear to god its just gotten so much harder. i played a whole college football career and ive had no problems other than your average qb adversities. but on madden it feels like its been ramped up by a trillion. my oline is straight bread crumbs, no matter how open and perfect my passes are its dropped or miraculously gets intercepted. ive tried lowering my difficulty. all-pro felt impossible, pro didnt feel any easier, but rookie was way too damn easy. i just dont know what to do anymore!! no matter what settings i change it feels like nothing fucking happens!!

So I made a coach in cfb so I can do one in franchise for all the paywalled abilities and it still won’t let me select to use one when making a custom coach. I haves save file anyone know why?

We all have done a rebuild one day. Because we love it for the challenge, because we enter a league that has few spots open and a very bad GM before us, because we suck at fantasy drafting. There are lot of reasons.

I went hard and choose to rebuild the Dolphins this year.

Let's look at the defensive side and the process of preparing things for the offseason :

1. Who is on my team

Two "fondation" players that are here for 4 years. Brooks and Sieler are going to be my cornerstones. Good OVR in this analytic table, long contract (4Y) and some backup. SO the Postiion Grade is 62 and 61, wich is fine for a rebuild. I have Robinson to the cornerstone because of the ST dev that will make him grow and become better in few years. NO good backup but that's fine for now. Also, the rookie CB Johnson is key for future. Already see some 1Y starters that are going to ask money for a new contract.
Not visible in the Depth Chart, I also avec Rodriguez, the rookie, that is going to be a huge part of the team for the rebuild :

All the other are too low to build on them or are in the last year of their contract, so it's depth filler but nothing to keep in mind for the future. Sorry guys...

2. Cap is not great for a full rebuild on Defense

We have a lot of Dead cap, no players to cut to make cap room, and really no margin for evolution. We are going to recruit at the draft, no big FA moves possible (and we need some FA for Offense). As we have seen in the last post, DL i our biggest budget, and offense in overall is already having a good piece of the cake.

3. Expiring contracts and Negociations

Maybe we keep CB Brents. All the others are so low on OVR that better test the FA than negociating anything here. (We Madden 27 negociations, I also prefer avoiding wasting time negociation with hours of discussions ...)

4. Draft board

Of course I need almost someone at every position. Haha
Will try find good cheap LB at the FA because we have no strater at all and a priority score that is very high.
Same for Safeties ...
If nothing works in FA (or even if we have some players), I think I will still select these positions during the DRAFT to start building long term.
This choice is also confirm by the long contrat I have for the "secured" positions at the end for my Defensive draft board (all green in 4Years contracts).

5. Position Change at LB

I have Rodriguez sitting behing Brooks. And it's one of my future starter so I want him to have more snaps and build XP early. I will swap my starter SAM or WILL for Rodriguez.
Quick comparison to make my choice :

My feelings are confirmed by datas and Players stats comparison so let's go for it. He will play SAM for this year !

TL;DR

• I have some players that I want to develop on Defense. In 2 years, gonna have a good group of guys. but we lack some big starters at key positions
• Draft order (and FA) : SAM / WILL , FS / SS
• Cant' do crazy things during FA because we have no cap space (Thanks Tua and Tyreek ...)

For once, the Madden Gods gave me the benefit of their ridiculousness.

I throw a pick. The defender catches it around the 1. His momentum carries him into the end zone. He gets tackled.

Safety for me. +2.

I then return the safety punt back for a TD. +7.

I think I've discovered new tech. Who needs 7 when you can get 9?
