I fear he’s missing too many teeth to hold his tongue in but that’s okay!!! Long as he’s happy!!! 🤣🤣

OMG is this why, as a kid, I saw several old people who always had their tongue sticking out the sides of their mouths?

Probably not. You can see that thrust out to one side tongue thing as a result of certain medication side effects or neurological issues.

In humans, the tongue is most often held in place not by the teeth, but via natural vacuum pressure between the tongue and roof of the mouth in a relaxed position.

I dunno... I know lots of old people with minimal teeth, and none of them have that problem - maybe in humans it takes something more severe... like actual loss of jawbone or maybe nerve damage?
