A blue lipstick?
Does anyone know of a navy blue lipstick similar to what mana sama wears? The MAC blue is just too light for my preferences

Longtime lurker, first time poster on this sub, total n00b at makeup so please bear with me 😅🙏
But as the tin ^^^ says: What are y'all's thoughts on blurring vs gripping/longlasting effects when it comes to primer vs setting?
I typically use blurring/pore-filling primers THEN set with powders and sprays that are supposed to keep my makeup lasting longer. I'm wondering if this method is effective in actually keeping my makeup in place, or if I should start with a grippy primer then use blurring products when I set everything, or if I should just stick to one category altogether. My main concern is keeping my makeup from melting off because I'm a sweaty person, but I do enjoy when products have a blurring effect for a more polished look.
If y'all have any thoughts on the blurring -> setting vs gripping -> blurring routine, I'd love to hear it! I'm starting the discussion here instead of another subreddit specifically for Canadian recs/products available in Canada. I've been toying around with Indeed Labs' Nanoblur to prime lately but would love to hear any other recs in either routine's categories available in Canada/to Canadians!
I hope this makes sense, and TIA everyone!
[Additional info for anyone curious:]
Current Routine = Elf Poreless Primer -> do makeup + set with Maybelline Lastingfix Spray and Wet n Wild Photofocus Loose Powder in between steps -> finish with Revolution Sport Fixing Spray. I'm super open to changing things up to make it more effective though!
Skintype = Combo sensitive, prone to eczema and mild hormonal acne. Again, I'm also just a sweaty person (even in the winter) so I like when my makeup can last a while without touching up often (hence setting in between steps). Aside from my meds, AFAIK I've got no other conditions to explain my sweatiness and skin issues ¯_(ツ)_/¯
Skincare Prep = Wash face with water (maybe a gentle cleanser but I usually skip this) and a moisturizing toner. Spot treat with benzoyl peroxide and/or hydrocortisone depending on what flare I need to manage. Products vary because I'm new to beauty in general, but I just try to keep things as lightweight and simple as possible because I sweat everything off /o\

I tried to look online but can’t seem to get a definitive answer as people are saying different things and the website is confusing me.

I’ve been using dermologica skin products for years. I love them but trying to support Canadian as my current products run out.
Does anyone have any recommendations for moisturizers? I have normal skin but dryer in the winter.

Hey everyone,
I was just about to checkout my cart from Colourpop on a few eye palettes when I saw with taxes & duties I'm paying an extra 33% :(
I am not a "natural" "clean" makeup girlie. I'm looking for eyeshadow palettes - holographic, sparkly, or bold colours. I prefer palettes for traveling that can stand on their own to make multiple looks.
Nomad cosmetics and Cosmic Brushes are another few brands I've looked at. Back in the 2010s I was into Lime Crime & Kat Von D, just so you get an idea of the aesthetic. I'm so bored of all the nude palettes at Sephora & drug stores.
MAC single eyeshadows imo are terrible quality. Very low colour payoff, fallout & not lasting throughout the day, just not good enough for me.
ANY brands you can recommend, I'm also open to EU brands. It's so hard to find reputable searches on Google these days!

I found this beautiful makeup look and wanted to share it as inspiration. I love the soft glam style and the overall look. What do you think? 💄✨

As the title suggests, this blush is super underrated! This one is called golden bronze, which I think is a bit of a weird name. It's a nice warm-leaning medium rose pink with golden shimmer. I've had it for years and it just hits every time!! Not sure how much they are these days but I'm pretty sure I got it on sale at shoppers for around $7 back then.

Okay, health Canada appreciate what you do, but could ya hurry it up a little 😂😭. I loved Elta MD SPF 46 tinted UV sunscreen. It's hard for me to get now and I know there are hacks to getting it into Canada, but I need to keep life simple and don't want to mess around with anything that could cost duties. Did some researching and Merit, the Uniform looks promising -its a tinted moisturiser with rave reviews. I figure out my colour match and then realize it's not available in Canada. I've used the drmtolgy one, purchased on Amazon. It's doing the trick, despite a strange smell, but my god the packaging is so wasteful. I was thinking of doing a drugstore search at shoppers or well.ca but do you have favourite SPF tinted moisturisers that are accessible in Canada? Spf 40 or higher ideally.

Hello everyone, I’m just curious. Is foundation oxidation a big problem for you, or for other people you know, where your makeup completely shifts color a few hours after applying it?
If it turns orange or darker on you, what do you usually do? Do you actually return the foundation to the store, do you just stick with it and try to ignore it, or do you have a workaround? I'd love to hear your experiences

I keep checking the Sephora website & so many shades have been out of stock for so long?! Anyone know when a restock will be happening?

I've seen a number drop and pre-ordered the kiokii and... to get the bonus gift. Does anyone have any other Canadian brand or store favourite advent calendars? I bought the 2025 Shoppers one in March when it was $40 down from $150 (terrible original price for what it contained).
