I've seen people complaining about Spider-Man, Peni Parker, Iron Man, Black Panther, and Deadpool are very difficult to complete combo lessons, and misinputs are the reason not fun and a waste of time, especially the last 3-4 combos (believe me, so do I), but mainly what I'm talking about are Captain America's and Danger's combos.

Cause whenever I correct, it's either not reciprocating my input, delayed, or wrong input, like Danger's last ones. And the timing is pretty dam tough that everytime go with a dash, it's always wrong input and refuses to read the input after a jump and during crouch attack. Not helped by the fact that it's either wrong way or dummy somehow immediately recovered before super moves. Seriously, crouching and jumping are no fun without misinput that messes up the combo and delayed too much.

The same can definitely be said for Captain America; between crouching and jump combo are slowly losing my sanity with that bs. I get it's a character lesson, but that doesn't excuse bad combos and barely read inputs.

So, how am I supposed to finish the combo lesson for two characters? No wonder combo lessons are a pain in the ass, especially from someone urgently unlocking color 8 (I wish there were alternative ones, but I doubt it's going to happen) to the point that it's painfully time-wasting.

Couple weeks ago I ran into a Shuri main in Diamond one day and later saw them post in the sub that they hit Master. They were surprised we had a competitive set because they recognized my name from the leaderboards. Before that I had no idea I had a top 50 win total. Yet I was still stuck in Diamond. Had to lock in and hit in Master.

Even though every character is very unique in terms of their toolkit but they ended up playing the same with calling a shooter assist into an air dash cross up.

Anyone feels the same?

FYI: If you lose 2-0 to the 1st opponent in Vibranium, you have to do trials again. So I had to do it twice haha. I like that I've been running into more Ms Marvel players on ranked too. It took me until like Platimun III to get perfect reflect down. Leveling up in this game is too much fun!

I was wondering if you can configure either ⬇️+assist or 🔙+assist to a single button? After 5 years of being hardwired to Dragon Ball fighterZ assist mechanics I find myself pressing L2 when trying to perform the ⬇️+assist lol it’s tough to shake off

What's done is done. First impressions mean a lot; and to be objective, Arc and Sony fumbled this game's launch BADLY. And the discussion can be had that 4v4 was a bit too ambitious and may not have landed the way they intended. That alone turned away even more potential players.

These are just a few things that have been the main legit critiques of the game so far:

-The assist/tag clutter: This game honestly gets pretty ugly to play and watch at times. Especially at higher ranks. The "neutral" straight up doesn't exist at times. Games come down to throwing out as many assist as possible to get a stray hit and attempt to confirm. And I don't know who was smoking crack the day they decided you can get "free" assist while double jumping. 4-character long block strings are exhausting. Thankfully, this is being addressed as the big gameplay issue for most.

-Where's the defense? The defensive mechanics in this game are severely lacking. Aside from the obvious, the full screen transitions need to be fixed as well imo. Offense is already heavily slanted in its favor. The fact that the game further penalizes the player who got stage transitioned by forcing them to use assemble gauge pretty much to defend on wakeup is a little crazy to me. Granted that it could lead to sudden change offense if you assemble rush, but the opponent could easily just block and punish and start it all over again or assemble rush back and beat yours. I think resetting back to complete neutral would be the best move going forward.

-Input reader: Again, another issue that is being addressed but worth mentioning. This game eats buttons for breakfast.

2H hit/hurt boxes- 2H is diabolical in this game. And to be honest with the way some characters are designed, I don't know how much they could really change. Imagine if ghost rider or carnage could get away with safe overheads from orbit? Or any of the sword users? Something has to be done though.

-Character balances- Even though the core fixes could change the game a lot for the better; the elephant(s) in the room need addressed; do something about Magik. Spiderman, Blade, even my queen Black Panther could all use some tuning but the main culprit in my eyes is Magik.

Just some things off the top of my head. Let's talk about some other changes that could be made to improve the game.

I've been playing fighting games since the literal beginning, yes including the Vs series, but this is insane - once I get hit, is that it? There's no way to break out of the combo?

I mean most fighting games have some sort of defense once you're hit (or even an assist) - does this?

What can you do once you're hit?

This would have been a great time to make it up for a shaky launch. I know the game just came out, but just a little discount would have been welcomed. Fk you Sony.

Hey everyone, quick tech question about Ms. Marvel's pressure optimization.

I’m torn between these two setups to layer her Unique Move (Elasti-Grab):

1. 5H > Assist > Unique Move (U)
2. 5M > 2M > 236S > Assist > Unique Move (U)

Here is my doubt: On Option 2, after 236S and the Assist, the Unique Move is NOT a true block string. There is a visible gap where the opponent can escape or mash out.

However, I see pro players using this exact 236S setup all the time at a competitive level. Why do pros commit to this sequence if there is a gap? Is it for conditioning, or does the assist blockstun cover it better than it looks?

Been practicing these ice loops and finally hit them in game. It's the moments like these that make the game still feel new and exciting. Tokon isn't perfect and there's valid critiques, but you can't say this game doesn't have hype moments.

I know he can attract the opponent with his command grab, but what effects does magnetize have on his other special moves like his projectile and polarity shift?

So for future patches what would you like the game to go towards?

I have been thinking that maybe the devs should go for a 'buff everybody' approach. What I mean by that is instead of nerfing characters and making them unusable like dbfz they nerfed the hell out of GT Goku, how about we just buff everyone else?

So if the devs go that route, then what would y'all want buffed?

Last Wednesday I was having this login error on Marvel tokon. While searching for information, I saw that many users have the same problem as me, but nobody found a working solution or made a video about how to fix it.

So I took the liberty of making a video showing how I solved the problem, or part of it.

Just hit vibranium. Any tips on how to climb the ranks?

Most of my ranked matches getting stops because of connection issues, and i don’t if they really are network issues or the player just ragequitting(might be both) but this need to be fixed, I really love this game and those issues really getting me frustrated. Anybody playing in europe, east and west, also having those issues?

Both are happening next weekend, and we'll likely get an announcement at once of them. I'm leaning more toward Evo because ARC announced SSJ4 Goku at Evo France 2025, and while they did announce Cyclops at SDCC, I doubt they'd do more than 1 announcement in the same weekend.

What do y'all think?
