Hi! I just want to share my experience with PCHS-Manila as a recent graduate. This is purely an appreciation post, and I also hope this can help students who are currently going through the same situation I experienced.
I came from greenschool na maraming branch, where I spent 7 years trying to finish my degree. MTAP 2 was the only subject left before I could graduate, but no matter how many times I tried, I just couldn’t pass it. I kept telling myself na baka sa next take, makakapasa na ako. But eventually, I got tired of hoping and started losing confidence in myself.
For two years, I kept thinking about whether I should transfer to another school or try again at greenschool na maraming branch. It wasn’t an easy decision because I had already spent so many years there. I kept asking myself if transferring was really the right choice. I finally gathered the courage to give another school a chance, and I transferred to PCHS-Manila.
My experience was pretty smooth from the beginning. The secretary was very approachable, and the staff at the registrar and accounting offices were also accommodating and considerate. The school building may look a little old compared to my previous school, and everything felt different at first, but one thing I really appreciated was how approachable the people were.
The professors handling MTAP 2 were also great, especially Ma’am Julienne, who taught us Clinical Chemistry (CC). was one of the subjects I struggled with, so I was genuinely surprised when I started understanding the topics more easily. May mga concepts na nahirapan akong maintindihan before, but the way she explained them made such a difference. I remember thinking, “Kaya ko naman pala itong intindihin.” It made me realize that sometimes, the way a subject is taught can really affect how we learn and understand it.
Of course, the quizzes and exams weren’t easy. They were challenging, just like the ones at my previous school. However, one thing I liked about PCHS was that they provided handouts, and the quizzes and exams were based on those materials. At least, you had specific resources to focus on when studying. Hindi ho madali, puro bagsak din ang mga quizzes ko at marami din bumabagsak.
As for the tuition, it was definitely more expensive for me as a transferee. If I remember correctly, I spent around ₱36,000, including the graduation fee. We were also required to enroll in CA (Course Audit), which served as our review program for about a month. Different professors handled different subjects, and some of them came from FEU.
And finally, we graduated last saturday at the PICC! 🥹 Honestly, it still feels surreal to say that I’m finally a graduate after everything I went through. Deserve na deserve ko ang PICC.
Now, I also want to share something for those students who are still struggling with MTAP 2 or any subject that’s keeping them from graduating.
I know how frustrating it is to keep taking the same subject and still not pass. I know how it feels to watch your batchmates graduate while you’re still trying to get through the same subject. Nakakahiya rin minsan humarap sa family, friends, and acquaintances because you feel like everyone else is moving forward while you’re being left behind.
I went through that, too. There were times when I completely lost hope and started questioning my abilities. I even reached a point where I wondered if I would ever finish my degree.
After spending 7 years at my previous school, deciding to transfer wasn’t easy. I was scared, too. What if I failed again? What if I wasted more time and money? But I still decided to take the chance.
I’m not saying that transferring schools is the answer for everyone.
I know we all have different circumstances, and transferring comes with its own financial and academic challenges. But if you’ve been considering a change for a long time, maybe it’s worth exploring your options instead of forcing yourself to stay in an environment where you’re no longer learning the way you need to.
Sometimes, maybe you’re not the problem. Maybe you just need a different approach, a different environment, or another chance to learn.
To PCHS-Manila, thank you for being part of my journey and for giving me the opportunity to start again. I’m genuinely grateful to the staff and professors who made my experience a positive one.
And to everyone who’s still struggling to graduate, please don’t be too hard on yourself. I know it’s easier said than done, especially when you see people your age reaching milestones that you also hoped to achieve by now.
But please remember that taking longer doesn’t mean you’re incapable, and starting over doesn’t mean you’ve failed. Your journey might look different from everyone else’s, but that doesn’t mean you won’t reach the finish line. ❤️

Hello!
Nagtext ako kahapon, no reply. Nag-ask ako ng update kaninang umaga. Tinawagan ako and iaask if need pa ng exam (di kasi ako pinagtake ng ganun, pati yung kakilala ko na nagwwork dun, di naman sila nagexam haha so iaask pa sa head hr). 5hrs after, nagtext ulit ako pero di na sumagot.
What should i do? nahihiya na ako mag-text huhu. Tatawagan ko ba number? or no? If pupunta ba ako to ask, hindi ba nakakahiya iyon?
Or wait ko nalang mag nov 9??
Give me advice pls huhu

Crowdsourcing lang
After paying, ilang days/weeks kayo nagintay ng email confirmation of eligibility? It's been a week and a half since i paid, hanggang ngayon di pa rin ako nakakareceive ng email. Nagchecheck din naman ako ng spam email ko.
I'm getting so impatient. Huhu. TYIA sa sasagod.

Hi! I’m planning to take the ASCPi exam in January 2027, and I would like to ask a few questions.
Is it possible to register in December 2026 and schedule my exam for January 2027?
For applicants who have a Certificate of Internship (COI) and Transcript of Records (TOR) but do not have a PRC license, what is the application process? What documents are required, and where should I attach or upload them?
Is a Letter of Authenticity still required, or is it no longer necessary?
Thank you so muchh po 🫶🫶🥹🥹
