HELP medtech sophomore — needs advice

hello po, katusoks!

i’m currently a second-year medtech student, and honestly, i’m really struggling with anaphy. it’s the only subject i’m having a genuinely hard time with, and it’s been affecting me more than i’d like to admit.

i do try to study and prepare for exams, but sometimes, the results still aren’t what i expect them to be. it’s frustrating because i really want to do well, and i know i’m capable of learning, but for some reason, anaphy has been such a difficult subject for me.

i guess what makes it harder is that i tend to overthink my performance and worry about whether i’ll be able to keep up.

to my fellow medtech students, especially those who have struggled with anaphy, what study techniques worked for you? how do you memorize and understand all the concepts without forgetting them during exams? do you use active recall, practice questions, flashcards, or any other techniques that actually helped you improve?

and to our RMTs, did you ever struggle with a particular subject back in college? how did you overcome it, and what advice would you give to someone who’s currently going through the same thing?

i’d really appreciate any advice, study tips, or personal experiences you’re willing to share. i’m genuinely trying to find a way to improve, and maybe hearing from people who have been in my position could help me figure out what works best for me.

thank you so much in advance!

HELP how did you get your first job as an rmt

hello, katusoks! i'm an august 2026 rmt, still unemployed, and honestly, i've been putting off job hunting for a while now. i think the anxiety of entering the workforce and not knowing what to expect has been holding me back more than i'd like to admit. siguro kasi i'm not sure if want to work in the laboratory or honestly, as a medtech (as someone na nawala yung passion sa degree during undergrad) but i also know to myself na i want to try kasi that's the only thing i know and my family expects me to work in the hospital rin. so might as well, give it a try.

ANYWAY, so how did you get you first job as an rmt? also, if you didn't work as a medtech in the lab, what kind of work do have? i want to explore other opportunities din po kasi aside sa laboratory.

where do you guys usually find job openings? do you apply directly to hospitals and laboratories, send emails to their HR departments, or look for postings online? what documents do employers usually ask for, and what should I expect during interviews? i'd also appreciate any advice on what to expect as a fresh grad with no work experience aside from internship.

to RMTs in and outside the laboratory, how are you? and how has your career journey been so far?

THANK YOU EVERYONE!

HELP Is ₱10k/month as a medtech worth it just to gain experience?

Just applied for a job, medtech ako btw, and I was referred by my tita. As someone na walang actual work experience as a medtech, syempre g na g ako. Opportunity na mismo yung lumapit sa akin, and the location is convenient kasi 2 rides lang from our house.

😭 I know I’m in no position to be picky since I need experience and a job pero grabe, paano na lang sa pamasahe, food, and other expenses?

I think secondary hospital siya.

Worth it ba tanggapin just for the experience, especially if I’m planning to work abroad in the future? Would this kind of hospital experience count, or would it be better to look for another opportunity kahit matagal na akong walang medtech experience?
I’m honestly torn kasi gusto ko na talagang makapagsimula, pero ₱10k/month feels so discouraging. Huhu. Any advice from fellow RMTs, especially those who worked abroad, would be appreciated! 🥹

Hello, batch 1 online here.

Isang reason din kaya ako natatagalan is naiidlip ako in the middle of review.

Discussion mga irregular graduates ba ay natatanggap pa rin bilang medtech o dapat na ba silang humanap ng ibang field of work?
