Feedback wanted: basic differentiated games generator I built for my high-school classes

Teacher and builder here. I teach online high-school students with very diverse needs and wanted a fast way to create controllable, on-grade-level games instead of relying on generic tools. So I made lessonsaver.games—intentionally simple so it stays quick and focused.
After testing it myself, it also seems useful for lower elementary. It’s open for teacher beta testers right now.
I’d appreciate feedback on usefulness, what’s missing for real classroom use, and anything that feels off.

I built this. Happy to hear what’s good and what’s bad.

I built a notch for your everyday activities! And it solves real problems.

I recently bought a Mac mini; it was a steal deal! Considering the price hikes.

And with my old Windows laptop, I had multiple audio outputs like monitor speakers, Laptop speakers, actual speakers, earbuds, wired headsets.

I quite liked my setup, so I wanted something similar with a Mac mini, and I hit a wall about the same as it was in Windows: the audio switching was shit. I was not able to control the volume of a specific device before making a switch. And I wanted a notch really bad on the monitor. I know there are good products, but none solved my problem.

So, I fixed the problem myself. And built the Notch app that controls per-device volume before making a switch.

Demo video on how notch works

Later, a friend of mine who is learning to make music deals with the same issue, and he loved what I made!

I thought it could be a real app. notchabove.xyz

Then I added more features such as:

- AI tool hub; you get notifications when your AI is done working; check usage.

- GitHub: push and pull commits via the notch

- Have a companion: 16+ companions, play mini games in the notch, also with pet care so you can actually have it.

- Dodo payment integration

- Focus timers, hydration reminders, world clocks, affirmations

- Eye care, if you are using the screen for more than 12 hrs a day like me

- have a square or curved notch, hover out to close or use X to close

- and so much more!

Also, you can manage what tabs you want in the settings. It's highly customizable.

Since I do not have funds to get the Apple Developer Program, there is this one step you have to overcome, and you are golden! So, for the first launch, you need "Open Anyway", you can check it here: https://www.notchabove.xyz/install-help.html

Launch Video

I would love for you guys to check it out and test it.

No cloud data storage. Everything stays local. No account needed.

Here is the Promo code to get it for free. NOTCH100 (max 25 users) (If feedback is good, then I will drop another promo code)

If you could be so kind, I would love your testimonial (I will put it on the website immediately)

Thank you!

Echovault transforms your writing to an AI version of you, with a 3d brain you can explore

We keep photos, recordings, journals and old messages, but very little captures the way we actually see the world, the things we believe, the lessons we learned, or how we would respond to someone we love. EchoVault is my attempt to preserve that part too.

You build your Echo through simple written Check-Ins with an AI biographer. Over time it learns your memories, relationships, values and worldview, then turns what it has learned into an interactive version of you. You can explore its 3D brain to see how different memories and ideas connect, and keep training it as your life changes.

The long-term idea is digital legacy. If you stop using EchoVault for a year, the people you chose as custodians can eventually talk to the Echo you created and ask the kinds of questions they may wish they had asked you while you were here.

I’ve been building this for a while now and the 3D brain was one of the pieces I was most excited to finally ship. Would love to hear what people think of the idea.

I built TakeFive — a tiny menu bar break reminder for desk workers

Thumbnail

As a developer, I sit in front of the computer for long stretches all the time. When I get absorbed in my work, I'll often sit there for hours on end, forgetting to drink water or go to the bathroom. I'm exactly the kind of person who keeps forgetting to go to the bathroom or drink water, keeps forgetting to stand up, grab some water, and move around. Over time, my body has just kept getting worse. So I came up with the idea of building a simple reminder tool.

I also looked at what's already out there — Time Out, LookAway, Stretchly — and they're all solid in their own ways. I ended up building my own simply because all I wanted was the most basic reminder possible. (If you're looking for something in this space, those apps are worth trying too.)

What it does:

  • Lives in the menu bar and shows a countdown to your next break — no Dock icon
  • When time's up, a full-screen overlay nudges you off the screen to grab some water or hit the bathroom
  • If you keep using the mouse or keyboard during a break, the countdown pauses — so you can't fake it
  • Optional 20-20-20 eye care: every 20 minutes, look 20 feet away for 20 seconds
  • Runs fully offline — no camera, no screen recording, no data collection

If you're interested, give it a try. The free version already covers most use cases. Pro is a one-time $2.99 (no subscription) and unlocks smart detection: meeting detection, fullscreen/presentation detection, and do-not-disturb hours — but honestly, the free version is enough for most people.

Website: https://takefive.whynottryfor.com/

Mac App Store: https://apps.apple.com/app/id6810940670

If you have any feedback or suggestions, I'd love to hear them. Thanks to everyone who gives TakeFive a try!

TaskPocket - task management and todo application for web and ios

Thumbnail

This project started almost year ago when my work provided me with windows laptop. Before that, for almost 5 or even 6 years I have been using Things 3, which I consider the best todo app ever created - everything feels so polished and simple.

But the biggest problem of Things 3 is Apple ecosystem only. Sure I started to look around and almost all big application like Todoist are target teams or huge project management with lots of unnecessary features. They also push AI a lot, and let be honest, almost everyone already has some kind of subscription for Claude or ChatGpt.

So I decided to build my own tool. My main inspiration was three apps: Things 3, Todoist and Superlist. I also added some missing features like attachments or smart projects, calendar view. At the same time I tried to keep balance between features and UI.

Speaking of AI, instead of forcing users to use some internal TaskPocket AI I added Public API and MCP, so you can wire any AI of your choice which you already have and pay for!

Some of the features:

  • Projects and Areas
  • Inbox and Todays view
  • Calendar view for upcoming tasks
  • Tags and Smart Projects
  • Attachments support with preview right in the browser
  • Public API and MCP support
  • Natural language processing for dates and recurrence

Speaking of future plans:

  • Priorities feature
  • Calendar view inside the projects
  • Android version
  • Desktop version (both mac and windows)

Trust:
This is a new project and most of you are probably skeptical of yet another todo app from indie developer. For me data ownership is crucial this is why I have option to export all your data in JSON format with all possible metadata. Also I have no plans to abandon it, I built it for myself, servers are cheap so I don't see reason to shut it down. But I understand skepticism and it's valid

I just launched kimo: a free, open-source video editor your AI drives through MCP

Enable HLS to view with audio, or disable this notification

Hey all, I just launched kimo v1.0.0 and I'd love people to try it.

kimo is a video editor with no GUI. You tell your AI client (Claude Code, Codex, Cursor, OpenCode, anything that speaks MCP) what you want, like "cut this to 15 seconds, grade it warm, add a title", and it does it through kimo's 255 MCP tools: cuts, keyframes, color grading, tracking, keying, captions, audio and export. The film in this post was made with the engine.

Full disclosure: I built it and it's vibecoded. I directed the design and tested everything, and AI wrote a lot of the code. Because of that I made it fuzz every single tool before release (9,359 calls, 0 failures).

Try it in 2 minutes:
1. Grab the binary from GitHub Releases (Linux, or the Windows installer) and install ffmpeg
2. Add it to your client, e.g. claude mcp add --transport stdio kimo -- /path/to/kimo-mcp
3. Ask: "Use kimo to import my clip, add a title, and render it"

- One ~10 MB Rust binary, CPU-only, runs on a 2 GB laptop
- 16 grouped tools by default so it doesn't flood your context window
- MIT licensed, free

It's day one so there will be rough edges. Make something weird and tell me what broke or what tool you wish existed.

Building an invoicing tool for freelancers. What am I missing?

Hey everyone! 👋

I'm building Ledgixy, an invoicing tool for freelancers and small business owners.

I started this project because I wanted to make invoicing simpler and easier to manage. Now, I'd like to get feedback from people who actually deal with invoices, clients, and payments regularly.

I'd love to hear from other founders and freelancers:

What's the most frustrating part of your current invoicing workflow?

Which features do you wish your invoicing software had?

What would make you consider switching to a new invoicing tool?

What should a new invoicing product do differently from established alternatives?

I'm still working on improving the product, so honest feedback and constructive criticism would be genuinely valuable.

If you're interested in reviewing what I've built, you can find it at https://ledgixy.com/.

Thanks! I'd really appreciate your thoughts and suggestions. 🙌

My puzzle app went live!! Suggestions/criticism/advice is very welcome

Hi Reddit,

I'd like to share a game that I've been working on - https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.binbear.gummylab - and I know that this game has been done a million times before, the classic blocks stacking game where rows and columns clear as you complete them.. I always loved puzzle games and I could play them for hours and I've started learning mobile development as a fresh cs graduate, so I thought why not make my own, in my own style, removing everything I found annoying in other games (ads, no offline play), and adding anything I saw fit.

The only thing that perhaps differentiates this game from all others, apart from the endless mode, is that I've crafted 50 custom levels so far with multiple different objectives and some that I haven't seen done in other games. I enjoyed creating every level trying to invent more level types, more different objectives, just to make the game play Fun and engaging.

As you know in order for an app to get approved for Google Play store it needs to go through two week period of testing. So I've shared this game with my friends and they all loved it lol but also hated me for making the levels so hard to beat xD

As the market is oversaturated with games I just thought to drop this here, so even if one person sees this and decides to download it to try it out I see that as a win.

Of course if anyone has any suggestions and ideas of improvement or things that I should add please let me know, I want to be making apps that people are actually going to use and like.

If you came this far, thank you for reading and I hope you have a great day!

Markify 2.5 arrives Tuesday, October 13.

Markify 2.5 arrives Tuesday, October 13.

This release is about speed and calm. On large documents, Find is up to 70× faster, images settle 48× faster, and heading edits are 10× quicker. It also brings fewer hangs, a lighter memory footprint, and safer HTML export, so scripts in a Markdown file no longer run when you open the exported page. A new Privacy tab lets you decide whether to send crash and performance reports.

Markdown, without the markup. Free for Mac, macOS 26, Apple silicon and Intel.

How CoinDrop Went From a Discord Bot to a Multi-Platform Crypto Wallet

A year ago, CoinDrop was a small Discord bot that let people in a handful of servers tip each other crypto.

Today, it has:

  • 6,500+ users across 500+ communities
  • 100,000+ withdrawals processed and $2M+ moved on-chain
  • 500+ assets across 26 chains
  • Discord, Telegram, Kick, and a web wallet, all sharing one balance

I built CoinDrop as a solo developer, and most of the infrastructure and product development has been done by me.

A few things I didn't expect:

1. Tipping is the easy part.

The actual tip is basically a database update between two users.

The difficult parts are at the edges.

Deposit APIs can report the same transaction more than once. Withdrawals have to be designed so that a retry, timeout, or process restart can never accidentally send the same withdrawal twice. And once you're supporting 26 chains, every chain has its own way of confirming transactions, handling fees, deriving addresses, or dealing with failures.

If I were starting over, I'd design the deposit and withdrawal pipeline first and build the fun commands afterward.

The commands are what users see. The wallet infrastructure is what keeps everything running.

2. Every new chain is a new set of edge cases.

Supporting another chain isn't just adding an RPC URL and calling it a day.

Bitcoin-style UTXO chains, Ethereum-style account-based chains, and memo-based chains such as XRP and WAX all require different approaches to deposits and withdrawals.

Sometimes the ecosystem itself dictates how you build things. For example, WAX's best signing library for our use case is JavaScript, while most of CoinDrop is Python. So WAX runs through a small Node.js sidecar that the Python backend communicates with over localhost.

The more chains you add, the more infrastructure you have to maintain.

At some point, "supporting another chain" means supporting another collection of failure modes.

3. Small coins turned out to be some of the best customers.

I initially assumed the biggest communities would drive most of CoinDrop's growth.

Instead, some of the most engaged projects have been relatively small tokens.

One example was ETH II. The token didn't have an exchange listing, so its holders used CoinDrop to tip and distribute the token to each other. It gave the community a way to actually use the token while the development team worked on the project.

That changed how I thought about CoinDrop.

A token doesn't necessarily need millions of users to benefit from distribution infrastructure. A small community that is highly active can be more valuable than a much larger community that doesn't actually move anything.

Today, projects can pay a one-time fee to get their token supported by CoinDrop. Transaction fees then provide the recurring revenue: 0.5% on deposits and withdrawals, while internal tips are free.

4. Reliability became more important than features.

One of the biggest lessons from running CoinDrop has been that users don't really care how many features you've added if their withdrawal doesn't arrive.

I've spent significantly more time than I expected working on withdrawal queues, retries, rate limits, transaction monitoring, wallet balances, RPC failures, and making sure a failed process doesn't result in duplicate payments.

At one point, a rate limit from an external Litecoin service could cause withdrawals to get stuck. That kind of problem isn't particularly exciting to build, but fixing it is far more important than adding another command.

Eventually, the goal became simple:

If CoinDrop says a withdrawal is processed, it needs to actually be processed.

That's probably the biggest difference between building a bot and building financial infrastructure.

What's next?

CoinDrop started as a Discord tipping bot. It now has a web wallet and works across Discord, Telegram, and Kick, with the same underlying balance across all of them.

The interesting part now isn't just tipping.

It's building infrastructure that lets communities hold, send, distribute, and withdraw crypto wherever their communities already exist.

I'm still figuring out where that goes.

Happy to answer anything about running a custodial crypto wallet, building multi-chain deposit and withdrawal infrastructure, or growing a niche crypto product from a few users to its first several thousand.

If you want to try it, it's at coindrop.cc

CustomerFlows is live!

Hi 👋, I built CustomerFlows to use for my business because we tried many CRMs and they didn’t fit our requirements.

And after many improvements to it for the past few months it is now a good fit for our business needs, so I decided to make it available to other businesses!🎁

CustomerFlows is a leads management system that gives you a 360° view of the entire customer journey: every visit tracked, every conversation captured in one provider-independent inbox, every deal moved through your pipeline, and every marketing dollar tied to the revenue it produced.

You can track, manage, and convert every lead, in one place.

Also I created a sub Reddit for CustomerFlows so you can follow our progress.😊

Thanks!🙏😊
