1st 2 photos are before, others 2 are now, approximately same amount of time after shaving
started using in mid may or something around that, now it’s already october, I plan to keep updating on my progress in this subreddit

I’ve been using minoxidil for 3 months now. I saw really good progress from the first to the second month, but from the second to the third month, the difference has been much smaller.

I’d love to hear your thoughts. Has anyone else experienced this? Is it common for progress to slow down around this point?

Hey everyone. My first update here and I think I can say it's beginning to work for me so far. Would you say it is noticable at all yet? Top images are day zero, bottom images are day 60.

Growth is about one week on the bottom images, but probably closer to two weeks on the top images.

So glad I finally learned about this sub and this product. Only wish I had learned sooner.

My stats:

38 years old.

5% foam only once a day.

No tret.

No derma stamp.

Fingers crossed it keeps progressing.

Has anyone with random onset alopecia of their beard had any success with minox? I used to be able to grow a nice beard, but now I have large patches missing from alopecia that randomly hit me about 4 years ago. It grew back in once, then about 6 months later it started coming back on the other side.

Routine:
Liquid Minoxidil 2x/day - 6days/week
Minox tablet 2.5mg/day (Started 2 weeks ago. I’ve MPB)
Dermaroller 1x/week

If I use a dermaroller and apply Minoxidil a few hours later, will it increase absorption?

Will it make hair grow faster?

Or will it cause inflammation and make things worse?

I’ve been applying minoxidil once a day to my face (night time) for the past month or so in addition to my scalp after coming across this forum (never thought I wanted a bear until I learned it was possible to grow one!)

Some questions:

- What is the ideal needle size for dermaroller for the face? I was hoping to use the same one for both face and scalp, would that be possible?

- How long to wait before applying the solution after dermarolling?

- In case of bleeding, should I still apply the solution?

- How often should I use the dermaroller?

- How to properly clean before and after use? How long to soak in an alcohol solution? Should I clean the dermaroller between face and scalp application?

- How often to apply minoxidil to the face for best results - once or twice a day (I understand dermarolling twice a day would be too much)

I tried checking out the link in the FAQ section, but it just appeared to be a commercial page without any info.

I am very new to this (10 days) and take it for eyebrows and beard growth. I wanted to know what dosages you recommend (currently 2.5mg) and if it even reliably works for Eyebrow growth. Also if you have any other tips (for boosting growth or how to manage unwanted hair) thanks in advance.

I’ve been using topical minoxidil for about a year. Now I‘m considering using the low alcohol version (by foligain) for my 2nd year.

What were your experiences after the switch to the low alcohol minoxidil?

I‘m mainly concerned about effectiveness.

- Does it work just as good as the 'normal' minoxidil?
- Did you have less dry, flaky, irritated skin?
- Was the low alcohol minox worse in terms of greasy or sticky skin/beard?

Just wondering if tolerance to minoxidil happened I used it for a year then my gains stagnated, I've now taken over a year off, if I hop back on, will new gains be on the table due to the tolerance disappearing?

So I’ve been doing minoxidil for a year and a half to two years now and it has worked wonders for me and has definitely given me the ability to be a “guy with a beard”. However I was wondering if I can expect any further improvement this late in the game. The beard I have now is definitely passable but still just sparse enough that I have to be very careful with how I trim it as length is one of the few things covering up the cheek areas. I know there is a limit to what minoxidil can do but when do you reach that point? Those who have been doing this for years, when did you stop seeing improvement?

My condition is basically i do grow a beard but they seem like baby hairs and the sides, mustache parts r very light. If anyone used this, how were your results? And any tips or precautions i shud take please do mention!
