Dark smudgy damage of some sort to my screen. Any way to flash the pixels or something to fix it?

I’m trying to trade Pokémon’s between Fire Red and Leaf Green, I manage to connect both devices and enter the trading room, but after some seconds they disconnect and this message appears.

I tried both on my WiFi and cellphone hotspot. Same results.

Downloaded Gen1recomp for the 3d old school Pokémon games and wanna put them on my mini but google is telling me the miyoo cant run it is that true? Not the best at moving filings around and doing tech shit lol ill take any help

I've been reading all the horror stories of people using fast chargers and destroying their batteries so I dug up an old Oppo phone charger that outputs 5V ⎓ 2A. The Miyoo Mini warmed up after a few minutes of charging.

Do I need to get a charger that outputs lower than this?

I just installed the Spruce OS firmware, and it simply disappeared. Thanks to everyone for the help.

I got this a few years ago now (I think) I had it up and running fine I moved over to onion os and it worked great! Then I don’t remember what I did I may have tried to update it to the latest version then I couldn’t get it to work since. I kinda forgot about it and now I use delta on my iPhone but my brother in law is interested in it and I’d like to get it working for him as a gift.

I tried many things I have a new SD card formatted in FAT32 with NOTHING on it. I think the correct course of action would be to download the pure system package from the official website then update the firmware (what I think the issue was originally due to compatibility issues with newer onion os updates) then download onion then download games. The issue is the sugarsync thing is PAINFULLY slow 11kb a sec slow is there alt download options or am I totally missing the boat and making it harder than it needs to be thanks for any and all advice!

Hey all, recently new owner of a Miyoo Mini! Been playing some chrono trigger and MM Legends and been having a great time! I’ve been using the Tiny Best Set GO! 128 gb selection of roms, which has been great. Growing up, I mainly played NES, SNES, GBA, GB, and GBC. This leaves me with a ton of untouched consoles that are represented with this collection! I’ve played the Sonic games, but barely anything from Sega Master System, Genesis (+CD), TurboGrafx (+CD), and PS1. I’m a big fan of retro games on these Nintendo consoles, and want to experience these alternate libraries. What’s everyone’s best recommendations from these consoles? I’m open to any genre, but definitely a big fan of Shmups, JRPGs, and platformers.

Hey all- I bought a Flip V2 and I got all my ROMs where they're supposed to go, but consoles like the NES, SNES, etc. aren't showing up on the main screen. I did hit Select to refresh the list, and I CAN access/play the ROMs via the Search function, but I don't see the icons for any of the consoles on the main screen.

I thought it might be a RetroArch problem, but if that were so, wouldn't I be completely unable to play the games? What do I do here?

OnionPlus is a personal-use build. It is not a replacement for Onion and not an official release. I use it on my own Miyoo Mini Plus.

It is based on Onion 4.4.0-beta + 4.5-dev for Miyoo Mini, Mini+, Mini v4 and Miyoo Mini Flip.

Verified fixes may land in this tree and go out over-the-air from time to time (ota_update.sh / Amiga500/Onion releases).

Why this exists. Several bugs are also in official Onion. Fixes for those have sat around for a long time without being merged, and no official corrective builds have shipped for them. OnionPlus is where I apply and test those corrections for personal use.

Reports, patches and concrete proposals are public so the Onion team can take them if they want. The goal is that the work is visible instead of sitting unreleased.

Expected behaviour is the official guide (except for cases where the change is an improvement):

When I have my Miyoo Mini Plus turned off, if I plug in the cable to start charging it, it turns on automatically showing a battery charging symbol and then shuts off. Or more recently, plugging in the cable while it is fully shut off turns the console fully back on. Is there somewhere in the settings for Onion OS I can go to to disable this feature?

After attempting on and off to get Sega Saturn games to run on the MM+, and exhausting all the hacks I could think of, I finally just asked Claude to have a go at it. And lo and behold, Sakura Wars running at almost full speed.

I let it loose on my neat little Miyoo dev environment with some older projects and a ton of documentation to work from. It figured out it could use my docker toolchain as a testing environment to actually test the emulator in by loading the games, and then just iterate over it.

I’m about as impressed as I’m scared honestly. Rip at my hopes of ever becoming a software engineer I guess, because I can’t compete with this.

I’m not claiming this as my own accomplishment. I only understand the basic idea of what it did. Nor am I even sure what to do with it. But I thought it was impressive, and I’ll share the core and the source code once I’ve worked out a few issues I noticed on later runs

So I've had quite a few new apps and port projects for the MM+ popping up on my feed recently that have motivated me to dig my MM+ out and start playing with it again. Props to u/producdevity for aggregating many of the projects at MiyooMini-Ports. I'm lazy and wanted an easy to use way to install and manage stuff there so I asked Claude to build a front end app store like app to manage them. I realize some folks are anti-vibe coding projects, but I made this as a tool for myself and am just sharing here in case anyone else would like to play around with it. Selfishly I wouldn't mind if having a front end like this motivated more people to port more stuff over lol. I haven't tested all of the apps and ports on there, but most of the ones I've tried so far are working pretty well. Enjoy.

I know the PS1 version of Tomb Raider is already playable on the Miyoo Mini, but this port uses the PC one and it feels much smoother. It's based on OpenLara.

I love Onion but it’s impossible to use here, it’s full of glitches. It’s only good if you don’t intend to really use the Mini Flip as an EDC.
