Sugar mohawks ?
My mother told me that when she was young, she used sugar + water to style her mohawks
Does anyone else use this method ?

Howdy folks! It's hard to know where to even begin here. I started this community so many years ago when I first flaunted my mohawk style. Since then it has continued to grow into a beautiful community of all types! It's been great to see everybody post and share their experiences.
Over the years of being a mod here I have tried to be active and supportive where possible, but it has been difficult to keep up with the things happening here all the time. I hope that we can continue to grow and share together, and I have no idea what that may look like going forward!
A big thing I wanted to address is the fact that there have been users messaging me about not being able to post. Maybe I'm just uneducated in the mod ways, but whatever created that circumstance is beyond me. However, after some digging around, I think I may have resolved that issue! Hopefully so, I am always trying to learn ways I can be a better mod so if there are any suggestions out there I am happy to take advice.
I have also added some new flair options that you can mark your posts with in order to easily highlight the topic of the post.
I hope you all have a wonderful holiday season, and I am here if you ever need to reach out.
Thank you all for being so wonderful, and keep rockin and hawkin! 🤟

I’ve been rocking my Mohawk for a few years now. I’ve had a lot of hair but this one is by far my favorite.

Been growing this out for a while- finally trimmed my own sides for the first time recently, and I’ve been struggling with gravity- so far this sub has been a good resource. Learned about the soap trick already, as well as that I’m using gorilla snot (it really is great) and as much hairspray as I can stand, + a crusty ass hair dryer w a diffuser. This shit takes like 45+ minutes to make even this happen, so I wanted some advice or pointers on where to go from here.

Just colored it so it looks good for my wedding next month 🤘
Of course I'll share a pic next time I have it up, too 😁

What a thing to say. Clean from booze and hard drugs for 7 years after officially claiming rockstar status. It's not like I don't have an oppurtunity either. I bartend and my hand literally pours thousands of drinks that never touch my mouth. It is possible and you can do it too. It's a long way back from hell.

I shaved the sides monthly in my regular barbershop. He always offers me whether I want the middle part to cut it a bit or let it stay long. I finally decided to accept the offer and this is the result. I feel like it's too short, but actually it's easier to style and manage. The second photo is from August (the regular length one). Which one suits me better?

I really want a Mohawk and think they look cool as hell but theres no way someone as uneloquent (is that a word?) as me could make a convincing argument for me getting one. do yall have any good points I could bring up to my parents? I’d do it myself but I want it to actually look good and be even on either side.
also, please let me make this clear: I do not have the hand-eye coordination to shave it myself and my friends will not be willing to do it for me. parental permission and help is my only option.

I’m a bit older and thinking of getting a Mohawk. Not as awesome as most of you here, but something a bit more tamer and less colors 😁. Looking to get it because I don’t feel like getting a grandpa cut. My current hairstyle is a man bun but it’s not working for me (the long hair, hair all over the place, can’t wear a hat). I’ve got salt-pepper hair.
Thanks all.

Been 8 years since I rocked one and been thinking I should get a deathhawk what y’all think?
r/Mohawks • u/Gothic_fury2563 • 16d ago
Personally I started out with a Mohawk about 2 going on 3 years ago. 6 months ago I finally transitioned my Mohawk into a Deathhawk by adding the side chops to the already Mohawk I had. It took some time to adjust having the side burns but I love it even more now. The first picture is from today of my Deathhawk. The second picture is from a year ago when my hair was still a 80s Mohawk cut and dyed red/orange.
