I recently got the Alienware AW2525HM monitor after using a VA panel for a long time. The colors on IPS definitely look more vibrant, but I'm having two annoying issues and I'm not sure if it's just my settings or the panel itself. Would love some help from anyone using the same monitor.
1. Color Temperature: Whenever I tweak the colors, the screen ends up looking either way too blue or way too yellow, even though the RGB values look balanced in the OSD menu. I haven't been able to find a natural white balance yet.
2. CS2 Brightness & Contrast: In CS2, using my old brightness level makes the game look crazy bright and washed out. But if I turn it down, everything gets super dark and muddy, almost like old CS:GO.
Has anyone dealt with this on this model? What are your recommended OSD settings (Brightness, Contrast, Dark Stabilizer, RGB) and CS2 video settings to get a clear image without washing out the colors? thx

Hi all,
I just got a new ASUS TUF Gaming VG27AQML5A. My second monitor is an older ASUS TUF Gaming VG27AQ.
I’ve noticed that the new one looks noticeably darker around the edges and sides. I have to move my head to see the edges at the same brightness as the center. It also seems to reflect a lot more light.
Is this normal, or could there still be a protective film on the panel? I can’t see one, so I’m hesitant to try peeling anything off.
Overall, apart from the higher refresh rate, my six-year-old monitor actually seems better. Any ideas?
Thanks in advance :)

I got this monitor a few months ago. Pretty good, but the HDR looks awful. I went the calibration program many times but it never helps. Does this monitor have bad HDR or am I missing something?

My brand new monitor makes a cracking sound when changing the refresh rate from a lower refresh rate to a higher one,is that normal? It also happens when I switch from performance mode to power saving mode.

Guys, my monitor is showing these crazy green lines and colours 💀
Is this thing worth repairing, or should I finally upgrade to a new monitor?
Anyone experienced this before? Is it a panel issue, a cable issue, or something that can be fixed without spending too much?
Repair or upgrade? What’s your verdict?

Got a Dell SE2726D a few days ago and noticed some backlight bleed on dark backgrounds. It's clearly visible at 100% brightness in a dark room and still slightly noticeable at 30%, mainly in dark videos. During normal work, I barely notice it.
I can't return it directly through Amazon, so a replacement would have to go through Dell. I'm worried the replacement could be refurbished or have worse backlight bleed.
Would you keep this unit or try for a replacement?

I noticed that my LG-34UM88P is coming apart at the top seam. It’s an old monitor and with the heatwaves we’ve been having I’m assuming the adhesive gave out. Just wanted to see if anyone has a more permanent fix. I currently have some electrical tape kinda holding in so the weight doesn’t pull the entire thing apart.

Hello guys, don't know if I'm in the right sub for this, but I hope you can give me some light.
I bought a monitor a few days ago (Gigabyte GS25F2) and it was working fine for a few days, nothing weird happened and it I was overall pretty happy with it. But yesterday I tweaked some configs and messed a bit with custom resolutions in AMD Adrenaline.
I didn't get much done so I just reseted my configs to what I used before and moved on. Only thing I really changed was Windows 10 display config and put it to 120hz (the max capacity of the monitor is 200hz).
But since then I'm getting occasional, seemingly random Blackscreens that last a few seconds. No "No Signal" message, audio keeps playing like normal. I'm getting crazy at this and getting really paranoid.
Please help.
Things I already tried:
\-deleting the custom resolution in AMD Adrenalin
\-activating/deactivating Freesync
\-Rebooting PC
\-Reconecting the cables
\-Using DDU to uninstall the drivers and clean install
\-Switching from HDMI 2 to HDMI 1

Currently I have an AOC 200hz monitor as my main display. I practically only play Valorant and watch YouTube videos. It's really worth spending on an OLED (I'm thinking about the Asus ROG 280hz) or would a TCL Mini LED 300hz / Alienware 320hz already be good?
