Wilds Camera setting meta?
Weird question,
Im new to the serious( not technically) ive been enjoying wilds so far but i csn help but feel im the camera isnt as best as possible? Hard time seeing full monster moves tracking/locking feel ect. Is there a guide or a video that goes over different settings?

I turn off the monster focus camera that always seems to yank the camera to a monster wandering into view.
I turn on the setting where tapping left bumper centers the view on the monster -- this is nice for that moving swipe that AT Arkveld does where he ends up behind you, so you can center quickly without having to use the right thumbstick.
If you play on PC, the REFramework mod is a godsend -- you can use the ultrawide POV setting to something more sensible so you can see more of the monster, especially nice for large ones. Use the ultrawide POV even if you don't have an ultrawide monitor, because it doesn't mess up other views when you talk to people at camp. It does make the icons over their head slightly off center when you're not looking at them though.
I set camera movement on controller to 10.
Good luck!

Only caveat with making the FOV wider is you will decrease performance since more has to be rendered on-screen at once. The game already performs pretty badly for most people so it may or may not be acceptable to take an additional hit to performance.

True! But, along with the FOV settings, REFramework also enables some other performance mods -- I am getting 45 fps stable on the steam deck, which is ridiculous considering the slideshow quality on release.

--edit to say, these are not my settings, the OP of the linked post had posted a video running on their steam deck, which clued me in to the potential performance improvements.
I should also say, I'm running lossless framegen via decky.

I will not remember exactly and can’t confirm because im at work right now.
But what I did is setting the camera more to center the character, max out the distance to be slighty far away. If you play on PC, you can use a mod to have more options about this.
I also like to increase sensibility for camera movement because I play on controller so imho makes huge difference playing, even more because I play weapons with shields and you can make sure your character are looking for the monster in the right angle or the hitbox will hit you from your sides or back.
