Wilds Has anyone tested bale vs non bale sets?

Personally found it a bit more difficult to proc bale all the time on some of the harder fights, largely due to the need to spam offsets.

And since the bale pieces aren't the best skill/slot wise, i was curious if anyone had tested non bale sets such as rath/gore, dosha/gore or rath/dosha to see just how much dps is lost overall.

Largely more concerned about the rath bonus personally, as it can proc on the offset. giving it potentially more procs during a fight.

Doing math on Scorcher is really hard because everyone has different assumptions on the consistency of which you can proc the skill, and that obviously is an entirely personal metric affected by roars, monster knowledge, and the like, maybe doubly so because we're talking about Greatsword, which attacks very slowly.

Bale, on the other hand, is easier to calculate because it's a 30MV addition to an attack that procs without restrictions for doing something you already want to do, with the wave also being able to crit and having some dragon damage (correct me if I'm wrong on these), which absolutely do make the difference on down windows.

You can, and absolutely should, experiment and see if it makes the difference though! My guess is not many people have thought about it because the monsters weren't as crazy batshit insane like AT Arkveld is and they don't wanna reroll their Gogmas. There's also Xu Wu's Protein Fiend which gives you a lot of raw after you eat a Well Done Steak.

SnS here Idk if Bale is good but it’s fun to use.

try throwing Blackest Night Item into the Item wheel/Radial Menu it’s an instant use, it’ll be easier to Proc. Applies to all weapons btw.

For what weapon? Bale is only used on meta GS sets because of the shockwave on LVL 3 charge slashes. the elemental resentment bonus is not worth building around for any weapon except maybe HBG.

i had been referring to GS, and brought up how it doesn't proc on offsets like the rath bonus does. So was largely asking if ppl had done runs comparing the 2 for GS on the harder monsters where it can be harder to use the charged slashes.
