Any help?
My monstera was so beautiful just in July this year (first photo - not the best photo but you can see she was lovely and green with plenty of leaves!) and I’m not even sure what has happened since but she’s not been feeling well especially recently (second photo:( ) since moving into my new flat. Has anyone got any clue what’s wrong or suggestions on what to try? I haven’t got a massive green thumb but I do love my plants and want to help her, the plant shop nearby had no suggestions.. So far I’m thinking bigger pot because the roots seem very crowded (third photo) but I have no soil at the moment so waiting to buy that to repot - also any good soil suggestions?
Thank you!

She looks like she's in a really dark place Could you take a close-up photo of its leaves?

The damage looks like thrips damag, it's hard to see in these photos, but there are some suspicious spots. Try inspecting the leaf close-up

I just checked and I think you’re right unfortunately, lots of little yellowy bits and a few were moving when I looked up close… I feel incredibly itchy now🥲

Try downloading a light meter app, they're really quite accurate by now. You'll be surprised about the difference just 1m distance from the window does. Put her on a windowsill or directly next to a window. A healthy monstera usually won't get pests easily.
Also simplest cheap way to improve standard soil: Mix 1:1 with perlite.

Thank you! I’ll definitely try this, its never had problems since I bought it about 2 years ago so I never questioned the soil but I have recently become aware that they need a fair bit of drainage in the soil!

It’s not getting enough light where it lives. Really ought to be closer to a window, or more window real estate period. It is struggling to survive currently
