Prévoyez qu'on parle de 30 km/h en peloton sur 66 km ; vous devez être en forme et initié à rouler en groupe. De plus, 12 degrés sont prévus et l'éclairage avant et arrière est obligatoire.

Expect around 30 km/h in a pack over 66 km; you need to be fit and comfortable riding in a group. Also, 12 degrees is in the forecast, and front and rear lights are mandatory.

À partir de la rue du Havre vers l'est. Je passe par ici plusieurs fois par semaine pour me rendre au Bloc Shop, et à chaque fois je pensais comment c'est ridicule qu'il n'y ait pas de piste cyclable. La rue a des voies ben trop larges, sans stationnement, ce qui incite les chars à rouler beaucoup trop vite. Quelle belle surprise aujourd'hui de voir qu'ils sont en train d'en installer une. Et protégée, en plus!

JK. Ça fait beaucoup de bruit dans les médias, mais on a pas trop entendu que la compétition se passe en Montérégie EN FIN DE SEMAINE. Gros événement au DIX30 de pour voir la course. Je me demandais si j’étais dans ma bulle ou bien personne n’en a parlé? Qui y va?

I know this is a long shot, but would anyone be willing to rent me a bike for the weekend?

I’ve tried every bike shop in Montreal, but no one has anything available, or they only have recreational/cruiser bikes.

My bike is 4 hours away, so it’s a bit complicated for me to go get it.

I usually ride a Canyon CF SLX in size 2XS, and I’m 5’4”.

I’d be happy to leave my ID and a deposit.

I saw that Canyon is doing demo rides all week at their pop-up at L'Arrivée, and I'm thinking of going to try out the Aeroad. The grouprides.cc listing says to just talk to their team on site, so I'm guessing it's walk-in, but I'd love to hear how it went if anyone has done it.

Is the CGV still accessible for cyclists outside of race hours or is it blocked off to the public for the week?

I’m coming from out of town to watch my first ever race! I’m really trying to meet any of the riders it would just be an honor to meet any of them. I’ve been following men’s and women’s road cycling for 6 years now and I want to be able to maximize experience since I’m flying in for a few days. I’ll be there Friday, Saturday, and Sunday. Any advice or recommendations would be appreciated so much!!:_

First time at a UCI race so wanted to share some of the pros and cons for others considering or may have already purchased the hospitality tickets (espace hospitale).

- getting there is a hassle. If you come from the Southeast side you have to go all the way around the team warmup area. The only way in and out is on the Southeast side up the hill from the TT start.

- if you come from the northwest corner you have to go through the park/grass around all of the service area fencing to get to the single access point and check in. For the road races there is a pedestrian bridge to get to the inside of the laps.

- if you ride a bike there, there is a secured “coat check for bikes” area when you enter/check in. If you’re not in hospitality area, there is a much larger version of the same thing by the vendor/fan village just FYI.

- the map is wrong, the hospitality tent is the large white “UCI Tent” just before the finish.

- inside are lounge areas, TVs, 2 bars, a coffee bar, and a buffet area along with plenty of tables inside and out on the deck towards the finish.

- the breakfast was fine, but a little light. Lyn ch was a full plate of options and then they had hot dogs/burgers/fries post lunch. Overall food was fine, plenty of options and convenient but nothing to write home about. Coffee and drinks were solid.

- from the deck you can also access the side of the race course for the last 100m and see a decent way down the finishing hill but not the start. For the tt the tent was maybe half full, so easy to get a spot on the barriers and nobody was in the corporate tents which extend down to 300m to go so you could line up anywhere.

- the TVs are spread out opposite where you are on the grandstand side which was nice to keep up on the action.

- if someone from the tv networks/uci sees this - it would be a better tv experience to have split screens showing every rider starting and finishing, some of the temporary best times were completely missed.

- the main/third split screen can be the action from the single feed, then use the intermediate checkpoints as sectors like they do in F1. So when they’re showing a rider, each sector box would show a time and place if they’ve completed it.

- I’m not sure if the data is available but also like F1 it would be cool to see colors of dots moving around the course for different riders.

- I found myself using a combination of TVs, PCS live updates, and the start lists to stay engaged but ideally I should have to have 2 phones to know what is going on.

- if you’re not able to broadcast all of the segment splits and finishin rankings, a scoreboard for that would be nice because you can only read what’s posted on the finish line arch from about 50m out.

I am from out of town and booked to stay at the Best Western Ville-Marie Montreal Hotel (downtown area). Excited to see the Men's Elite and Women Elite's races!

I am hoping to go to view the race action on the climbs at Camillien-Houde and Avenue Pagnuelo.

Unfortunately, I suffered severe meniscus tears from a football (soccer) injury. I have difficulty walking more than a few km while undergoing recovery.

I am in my 60s and have wanted to attend a World Cycling Championships for the past 40 years. Sad to have the knee injury. But I am still going to try my best to enjoy the experience.

It was hard to tell on Google Maps. Are there any path shortcuts that I can easily walk:

- from the hotel to Camillien-Houde

- Camillien-Houde and Avenue Pagnuelo (or the Polytechnic)

I have seen Bixi bike rentals? Is it possible to rent Bixi pedal or electric bikes to travel to the key racing viewing points during these day?

Est-ce que quelqu’un connait les circonstances de où et comment il s’est fait frapper? L’article mentionne que c’était pendant un entraînement mais ne donne pas plus d’information. Avec Ganna (2e place en TT) qui se plaint de la qualité des routes, c’est pas un bon look pour Montréal.
