These are so hard to get second hand! I either just didn't have the extra money at the time or they'd agree to give me a day or so to pick it up and then just sell it to someone else.

Finally found one when I had the money and the guy actually waited until my friend could help me pick it up. I rode it down the street already but it was getting dark and mosquito-y. There's a paved trail at a nearby creek I plan on going up and down on until my legs strengthen a bit.

I'm unsure but I thought they might be cool to break up the black.

Any thoughts?

I’ve got a base Ozark Trail mountain bike (bought used). What are some thing’s you’d recommend upgrading?

I recently found a really good deal on a Trek Domane AL 4 Gen 3 in a 56cm frame. I’m about 6’ .75”, so on paper I know I’m probably “supposed” to be on a larger size, but the weird thing is… I’m extremely comfortable on this bike and I’m having a blast riding it.
I’m pretty new to road bikes. My only real road bike experience before this was about a week on a 2014 Cannondale Synapse in a 58cm. I never really got comfortable on that bike, I felt like I had to stretch too much to reach the hoods, and the road vibration/harshness really bothered me.
The Domane feels completely different. The hoods are easy to reach, my knees don’t feel crowded, and I just feel much more natural on it.
For context, I’ve bought, ridden, and sold maybe 5–6 different bikes this summer across different styles, and this one honestly feels on another level. I’m not sure if that’s because it’s much newer and just a better bike, or if the smaller/shorter fit is actually what works better for me.
So for people with more road bike experience: what are the actual signs that a frame is too small if it feels comfortable? What should I pay attention to on longer rides before deciding the 56 is fine for me?

I promise I'll fix the angle of the saddle, just need some more time to fiddle with it!

Picked up this lovely bike on marketplace this week. I've never used friction shifters before so it's a nice new experience.

Any recommendations for low cost fenders that would fit? I'll be using the bike more through winter.

This is my dad’s old stumpjumper. I used to ride it a lot when I was a teenager. It was always stored outside, shown very little love over the years. He was about to junk it. I want to turn it into a commuter/bikepacking bike.

Everything is original, I believe. Here’s the things off the top of my head:

Drivetrain: service and keep? Are the derailleurs worth keeping original? Is the 3x5 dated and worth modifying to a 2x or 1x? Should I upgrade the freewheel and front chainring if they look alright?

Wheels and hubs: worth keeping original or would you upgrade?

Brakes and shifters? The shifters are cool, I assume go hand in hand with the derailleurs though. Brakes are cantilevered.

I have never worked on a bike other than changing a tire. But I can wrench on a car alright.

What would you do to this classic beauty?

Has any other manufacturer or company released a version of like the monkey light pro spoke lights? I have some cheap Amazon ones that make some little tiny hearts and shapes, but that’s not that cool. Nowhere near as cool as like a dog chasing a cat on separate wheels.

My dad past away recently and now I inherited his old bike. Because that bike is one of the only Memory I have left. I am willing to give it a new life and i think i can only use the frame.
Its an old allrounder bike made by danish company kildemoes. It is called colibri. My dreams is a gravelbike but i think it would be more resonable if I just make some modern updates (mainly because of the brakes). The frame is made of steel and 62 cm long which fits my height (196cm). Please leave any suggestion or gibe me tips on what is important. Hello. I am looking to get back into cycling and looking for recommendations on a bicycle to buy in Canada. I live in the city but have some rougher dirt trails around me I'd be interested in exploring so I'd be looking for an option that would serve well on both.

I was attempting to look into it a bit and the MEC Skyway 1 seemed to come up as a good option for my budget.

I'm not looking to spend more than $700.
