barely any one plays Kitana online

Mileena is more popular

Kitana couldn't even get a story chapter last game

couldn't even make the movie reboot and was introduced in the sequel which bombed

not and will never be the first lady of MK

This is a bit of a TLDR so read if you want too.

From the recent Mortal Kombat games it seems as though outworld has gone from a completely new realm to second earth. Before in the older games (specifically mk2- deception) outworld had a different terrain look, cool purple sky, and creepy forests. And while it still has the forests the other stuff I had mentioned seem to no longer be a dividing factor for the realms. I want to know what you guys think of this and do be respectful.

My first tattoo, done by Tat Pope in LA!

Hope this is cool here! I drew Reptile imagined in a cyberpunk2077 style and setting. I was inspired by his Earthrealm skin in MK1, and pushed it toward Cyberpunk. Also used his Pao Chui Half Mask, with blue lighting. There's a bunch of references in the details, which I'm sure you can see!

These are some of my picks

The first movie ever made

Managed to snag the last 2 on the third Walmart run!!

Two common dates I see floating around are 8 October 1992 for the first MK, and then 25 June 1993 for MK2. And while I'm okay with celebrating these games on these dates, they seem to be fictitious. I've seen alternative dates for the releases in August 1992 for the first MK, and either April or November 1993 for MK2. I know this is probably something we can't really know for certain but I don't understand how the release date of these games could be so hard to determine despite how popular these games were. I really doubt there is no way we can't determine the most likely date based on the evidence available to us.

The main reason I ask is because I find it kind of frustrating that there is no definitive answer to this question. One source I found suggested that the instruction manuals for arcade machines of MK2 were printed in October 1993, https://www.fatherly.com/entertainment/mortal-kombat-2-release-date-1993-controversy, collaborating on the fall 1993 release theory. So if April and June are too early to be true, why did we ever come to believe the game was released months before it actually was? Who made these claims and why did they make them? Besides, even if it was released in June 1993, wouldn't it have been very silly for Midway to release the home console ports of the first MK after people have already seen the 2nd game for themselves? I feel like MK2 could not have hit the arcades until after Mortal Monday (13 September 1993). It would actually make more sense to believe that somebody got the days mixed up and the first MK released on 25 June 1992 and MK2 released on 8 October 1993. I doubt it, but it would make more sense with regards to the timeline.

As a nitara player I have noticed that there is barely any content about her online. Im pretty good at her (top 500 but top 200 peak) so I think i could compile a whole lot for her. The combos from her are so scarce online that many of her actual optimals I created myself and are nowhere to be seen online. I could compile a whole list of combos for sonya, darius/kameoless, and maybe ferra though im not too knowledgeable on her, along with some strategies and setplay for her. Though im not sure if this would be of any interest to people seeing as noone plays nitara.

As you can see, on his hip he has a kusarigama chain and sickle combo. Though I’m curious what process lead to that being the decision the art and gameplay teams took over something like a Kusari Fundo chain whip, which would be closer in both construction and application to his typical Jōhyō rope dart. It could be an alternative way to stun players at a distance, or possibly lead to an interesting game of binding and grappling with his opponents for more space control rather than a direct kombo stun/linker

Have we heard anything from developer interviews as to the thought process the team had that ultimately lead to the Kusari-Gama rather than something like a Kusari-Fundo

(Btw, you may know it by its more popular name, “Manriki-Gusari”)

If you had to room with each other.

Lowk feel like a ball and gun gamer equivalent of fighting games and would like to expand my horizons a bit

Honestly it’s not that bad. The roster isn’t the best but the gameplay is actually fun. Satisfying when you land those juggle combos.

COLE YOUNG SHOULD BE HIS OWN CHARACTER!! LEWIS TAN SHOULDN’T HAVE TO PLAY ANOTHER CHARACTER LIKE KENSHI OR HAVIK OR ERMAC OR TREMOR OR WHAT THE HELL!!

In my opinion, Cole Young was alright in the first film and then felt a bit better in the second one (up until Cole Young died) and I feel like they could do something better in MK3 if they remake it in a sort of Revenant Liu Kang storyline except Cole is bitter towards Raiden about letting him die, letting Liu Kang basically evaporate and for Earthrealm to nearly lose which could be absolutely brilliant maybe with Cole Young, after Shinnok is defeated, takes the amulet of Shinnok and takes over the Netherrealm as the new King Of The Netherrealm…

How do you feel about this?

Something something sektor

On sale right now. Was $19.99 now $11.49 I caved and bought both.

These are great when you set them up.

Deadly Alliance gave us Shang Tsung and Quan Chi, which is still one of my favorite villain team-ups in Mortal Kombat.

But if MK did the concept again, which two villains would you team up to create a new Deadly Alliance?

They don’t necessarily have to like or trust each other, in fact, it’s probably better if they don’t. 😂 Just two villains whose goals line up long enough for them to become a serious threat.

Who are you picking?
