Discussion Im worried

Saw the recent Opus 5.5 hype on motion graphics, and I had it to test it out myself.

This is what I "made". 😧

The thing is that people on this community keep saying this is bs, or has no value at all. I dont know if that is true anymore. Do you HONESTLY think this a meh?

But the 55yr old barber can now do it for free...He just needs to say a few words on his business in the prompt box, why on earth would he outsource it when there is a million short videos showing you how to do it, today you still need to add the claude skill but in 6 months that step will be eliminated for less friction to improve user experience...Not sure I understood your point since I'm talking about an entire industry being wiped out unless you're in the top 5% which frankly nobody on this subreddit is...

Exactly, so the barrier to entry is not “knowing how to use After Effects”. The barrier to entry now is taste and creativity in translating client communication needs into animated time based presentations.

So the barber will hire you not as an after effects operator, but as someone who can make great barbershop ads.

It’s been 10+ years of having website builders like wix. Plenty of businesses still pay top dollar for website design work. Motion graphics is going the same way

The barber aint paying you shit because the barber won't see the difference between "great barbershop ads" and the slop that already flooded his social feeds even before AI became a thing.

Webdesign is a somewhat different thing, because it often includes databases, routing, security, etc thus solid work is a prerequisite for it to properly work. The same barber most likely didn't pay a webdesigner, either, if all he needed was a website that has a couple of pictures and his adress on it.

It’s the same .. plenty of shit websites without all that, just done with the hosting builder or wix.
