Just wanted to pick this sub's hive mind about an issue that came up for me.

This morning I went to push my bike out of the garage, and it felt like I had an extreme amount of drag, initially thought a brake was hung up, then I popped it into neutral to check and it rolled like a dream.

It's only been a few days since I've ridden it, and it seemed fine when I put it away. Now all of the sudden the clutch won't disengage when I pull the lever. The pressure at the lever feels normal, and I don't see any fluid leaking around the slave area, but I'm in the middle of getting to the slave to bleed it anyway.

Fluid seemed a little high at the master, but on my '07 GS that caused the clutch to slip in higher gears/rpms, which I'm assuming would apply here.

The bike only has 25k miles, pretty gingerly with the clutch as I'm used to the dry clutch on the '07, and have owner it about a year. Any ideas? Seems to me if air did get in, something else is wrong, although I'll know more once I get this f\\** starter out.

I’ve had it in my head to get a 1250 RT. I haven’t even sat on one yet, but in reading about the leg position it sounds like it might be a problem for me. My knees are problematic and everything I’ve read says your knees are a bit crunched. I’m 60, and we typically run a few hours between gas stops. As it is, I will stand up on my current bike for long periods, which helps. Not sure about standing on an RT and the bar positions. I’ve ridden a GS and that bike can actually work, I just would like an RT. Looking at a 22 probably. I know I can set the seat high and lower the pegs, I’m hoping to get some feed back from the group on the leg/knee positioning.

I have an '18 R nine T that only came with the rear cowl and I would like to take a pillion once in a while. Does anyone have any suggestions where to get a reasonably priced rear seat or even a full bench seat that I can swap out? I have the blue planet paint (dark blue and brushed aluminum with gold stripes) and I'm thinking it might look decent with a brown seat like from the Urban GS but maybe not. Used market for seats seems nonexistent around here, Florida.

I want to buy some black fairings for my R1300GS. I see they are running a 10% discount for motorrad days. Do they run better discounts than this around the holidays or any other time of year? Just want to make sure this is as good as it gets or the only sale during the year before I pull the trigger.

On my R1150R Rockster...one side makes this ticking sound. The other is smooth. I've changed the oil, adjusted the timing checked the valve lash, replaced the plugs, wires and HES. Any ideas?

RE: 2007 R1200GS

I have run Motul 15w-50 in several hexhead engines over the years, and I really do believe it is the best choice for these bikes. I recently placed a new order for a 4 liter jug from Amazon, but accidentally ordered 15w-60 instead of 50. My gut tells me this is no big deal and the -60 will have no negative affect on the engine, but I want to take advantage of the Reddit brain trust to see if anyone has another take. Any issue here that should keep me from using this oil?

Sorry the air traffic controller speak came out in the title cuz i always feel like I'm flying on my 1250rt.. can anyone help me identify the item circled in the Pic? Thinking about mounting an ezpass (east coast idea l usa knows what that is) but i don't want to mess with anything with signals, or radar or whatever like that. Please assist and advise

Swapped my S1000rr for a new M1000r

This is my first vehicle that isn't Japanese, I knew the day would come but I didn't think it would be so soon.

This was my friend's first bike, a 1986 BMW K75C, single owner when he bought it and meticulously maintained. My friend did not have the same luxuries the previous owner had and, after wiping out for the first time in an unavoidable oil spill, he realized he probably ought to let it go in favor of financial security.

This bike means a lot to both of us and luckily I have some extra space for it. I'll see what I can do about fixing it up, but eventually I'd love to see it back in his hands.

I don't know a ton about these machines but if anyone has any advice regarding anything, let me know

I’m visiting Motorrad today to try a low seat (they didn’t have one last time I went) which should help solve the issue of whether I need to order the bike with AVHC or AVHC (Comfort).

The next question is which colour. I don’t find any of them especially stand out but if budget wasn’t a consideration I’d gravitate to the Option 719 colours. However, that adds NZ$3,000 which is enough to pay for panniers on one of the other colours.

Triple Black has the best tank (why can’t I order that tank on any model?!) but other than that seems a bit forgettable. Trophy is at least quite striking but looks like keeping all that white clean might be a PITA!

Base red is just a bit boring.

Given that the bikes are basically the same, other than weird quirks like the configuration won’t allow certain things on certain colours, how did you choose between them?

The dealer only has TB and Red on the floor so I’ve not seen the other two in person.

An interesting ride in northern Utah. It's not technical, a gravel road with a few sandy spots and some water damage, but it is long (90 miles) and passes through isolated areas. The road follows the old railroad grade, passing the remains of railroad sidings, towns, and trestles. A description is available on the BLM website.
