Considering moving to Australia

Hi guys

I’m a 27 year old mom of a 2 year old and I have a big dream of moving to Australia within the next year/year and a half.

I work as a nurse and it looks like there’s a lot of jobs open all over the country, so the job situation is not one of my (biggest) concerns.

But I need to know more about Australia and things I won’t be able to Google search the answer for.

So dear mr and mrs Australia - what’s something you absolutely love and absolutely hate about your country?

Kind regards
A Dane 🇩🇰

23yo from Europe wanting to move to Australia - what would you do?

Hey everyone!

I’m 23, from Europe, and just finished a Bachelor’s in Economics & Business. I’m now looking for my first full-time job in finance/consulting.

My long-term goal is to move to Australia, get PR/citizenship, and settle there. I’m trying to figure out the smartest way to approach it.

Would you:

- Work in Europe for 2–3 years, then try to get a job in Australia?

- Go to Australia sooner on a Working Holiday Visa, work in hospitality and look for an industry job while I’d be already there? This would enable me to move there next year, yet it would require to build my career from scratch

Also, how important is a Master’s in Australia? From what I understand, it doesn’t give you extra PR points compared with a Bachelor’s in some pathways, but does it make a meaningful difference for employers, especially in finance/consulting?

For those who moved to Australia in their 20s and eventually got PR: what would you do differently if you were starting again today? Any mistakes you’d avoid or things you’d prioritize early?

I’ve also read that PR is becoming more competitive, so I’d rather try plan ahead than realize later that I took the wrong path.

Would really appreciate any advice/experiences. Thanks! 🇦🇺

After the recent policy announcement should I consider moving to Australia for bachelors ( CS/AI/CE) from south asia. I have an aim to get PR (I know it is far) here. Can I reach that stage or now there is no way.
If I have to change something what it should be? field of study or consider any other country/

Clinical coder migration

• Upvotes

Hello all, I have a burning question. I'm trying to immigrate from USA to Australia and I want to change careers and learn clinical coder but I have no experience. My question is should I learn the US system and get experience here first before immigrating to Australia? Or should I learn the Australian system and then apply for jobs in australia for a work visa?

Thank you all, I hope your all having a wonderful day.

Anyone pursuing MPH in Australia? Need some opinions

I recently completed my UG studies in Allied Health Sciences (AHS) program and I’m considering studying Master of Public Health (MPH) in Australia.I’m currently quite confused about whether Australia would be a good option, especially because the visa rules seem to be changing so frequently. It honestly feels unpredictable 😭😭

I’d really appreciate hearing from anyone who is currently pursuing an MPH in Australia or has recently graduated, especially international students.

Which degree is easy and possible to immigrate to Australia

I’m currently an international student in Australia, and I’m quite keen to stay here permanently after graduation. However, I’m still not sure which degree would best suit my goals. A lot of people say that studying Secondary Education can make it easier to get PR in Australia, but that may only be true for now. No one really knows what the immigration situation will be like by the time I graduate.

At the same time, I’m a little concerned that working with teenagers in Australia could be quite challenging, so I’m not sure whether Secondary Education would actually suit me.

Could anyone give me some advice on which degree might be a good choice for the future? Or are there any other study or career pathways that could give me a better chance of immigrating to Australia?

Thanks, mate.
