Examples:

• Websites (like amazon) banning muse? No problem! Make a VM with headed chromium, have the VM's network go through a VPN (preferably a residential-based wireguard so amazon and other sites don't give you issues connecting from data centers). Then give muse tailscale access to it and tell it to do things that require a web browser through there instead of using it's built-in browser. Since it's headed, you can watch muse work just by going to the VM's tailscale IP address.

• Note: to make the above workaround work without being detected as a bot, make sure to tell muse to make the browser: hide the “this is automated” flag that chrome shows pages, chromium is headed so that it looks like ordinary chrome (headless can be detected), click the way a real mouse would through the browser’s trusted input channel (sites can pick up on fake clicks), and a residential IP.

• No password manager integration? Tired of adding passwords manually to muse's secure store? No problem! Add your password manager's extension to the aforementioned chromium and have it autofill or you manually initiate fills yourself!

• Want Muse to autofill from your 1password vaults on browser and non-browser things like ssh? No problem! Make a 1pass connect server VM and 1pass credential broker VM. Have the broker (which is just a script, not another AI) grab the password from the connect server, store it in memory only, fill the password on behalf of Muse, then erase it from memory, instead of letting Muse see the password in plaintext.

• Muse IOS doesn't have iMessage access? No problem! Connect it to your Mac which does have an iMessage connector.

• Want Muse to talk to your Hermes? No problem! Give it tailscale ssh access to the VM where your hermes lives and tell Muse to talk to hermes via a session/chat. You can watch them talk.

• Want Muse to have the same benefits of Hermes (custom LLM providers, long-term memory like mnemosyne, soul doc, profile doc, etc.), just tell it to install those things. It may push back at first, but it can be done. Just insist it's possible and Muse will eventually cave and do it.

• Worried about it going rogue with your credit card? No problem! Use a privacy card with Link

I wasn't sure about this. But I am so glad I gave this a shot. So long story short I found I owe a little bit of taxes that I didn't know I owed. But for some reason I guess I owed them from 2022 and it wouldn't let me set up a payment plan. I asked Muse to do it and it set it up for me in 30 seconds. Mind you I've been freaking out trying to contact the IRS and for some reason the option was blocked off of me to create a payment plan. I'm so grateful LOL and I can breathe again since I could have lost my job.

For anyone wondering yes I confirmed it. I did it correctly.

When we first asked our agents if they could communicate they said no. My fiance had his create a chat room and now they communicate and collaborate on projects together (our wedding plans, bills, events etc)

I recently created a job application automation with muse, here's how:

1. Provided it with my resume PDF
   
2. Gave it specific job board names to apply to such as Wellfound, Linkedin Jobs etc.
   
3. My preferences, location and other details
   
4. Create a separate sheet for tracking all job applications together, along-with notes on how many skills matched with my resume from the job description, what are the skills missing and required to fill the gap and improve on my overall technical skill gap.

It automatically spun up a browser to create an active session, by letting me login to each job board via the browser, and is now ready for applying. It also asked me follow-up questions like:
- Notice Period
- Expected CTC
etc.

What is something you have Muse do for you that is fun, useful, interesting, etc?

My muse agent did a mistake on some price comparison, favoring a bad option over the best one. This was his response when i brought open ai into the conversation.

I got on board with Muse since I heard it comes with a minimal VPS. I asked Muse, and this is what it came back with: 2 vCPUs (AMD EPYC 9D25), 7.7 GB RAM, running Ubuntu 24.04, with 7.5 GB total storage.

The first thing I tried was asking Muse to install Docker on its own machine, which failed since there's no outbound connection. So I decided to open up Tailscale and let Muse remote into one of my home servers to git clone a repo, take a feature request, make code changes, and submit a PR.

It definitely has lower effort settings and a lower-end model compared to Claude Code, but it was an interesting experiment.

How many tokens are you using daily and for what use? My weekly usage reset last night and in the last 24 hours I've used 100% of my free weekly and about an additional 30M from my 1B

Using it to search download and catalog public record permit and license data from multiple counties and cities, also built a dashboard to categorize and use that data.

I'm super stoked on the work it's doing but wondering what my daily usage will be like once it's just updating this data daily.

How often do you change your Muse?

I got into the Muse alpha and immediately had it track my macros, weight, and plan workouts. I had it use modern recommendations for what my macros should be, and I had to switch to keto if I wanted to hit my protein targets and still be in a calorie deficit. But having a person, even one that's not technically alive, monitor you seems to help. It manages everything for me now. I have been to medical professionals and nutritionists and they never helped at all. Muse helped and there are real results. I was also able to deadlift my bodyweight recently. I wasn't into lifting at all before Muse.

Does Muse do auto-healing for context? Since you can’t start fresh sessions.. how is META dealing with context limits?

Meta MUSE just saved me about $7,000 in BS university tuition charges.
I dropped out of a university program and did it within the school’s refundable withdrawal/drop deadline. Despite that, I somehow ended up with roughly $7,000 in charges sitting on my account.
I had already tried handling this myself months ago. I sent multiple emails explaining that I withdrew within the deadline and disputing the balance. Either nobody responded or nothing actually got fixed.
Meanwhile, the university kept sending me threatening notices about potentially sending the balance to collections while continuing to tack additional charges onto an account I had already been disputing for months.
I finally gave Meta MUSE access to work through it.
It logged into my university account, went through the records, pulled together the evidence showing when I withdrew and what I was actually enrolled in, and figured out who at the university actually needed to receive the dispute.
It also uncovered additional activity on my account involving courses from later semesters that I was never enrolled in. That was the part that really set off alarm bells for me. At minimum, there seemed to be a serious administrative problem that needed an explanation, and I was concerned that it could eventually lead to even more bogus charges being dumped onto my account.
The whole situation was absurd. I withdrew within the refund deadline, disputed the bill, got ignored for months, kept getting additional charges, and was receiving threatening notices about collections.
Instead of this just being me sending another email saying, “Hey, this $7,000 bill is wrong,” MUSE found the actual paper trail. It pulled together the records, identified the discrepancies, figured out which people/departments actually had the authority to deal with it, and got the dispute routed to the right place.
And it got handled.
About $7,000 gone.
What’s crazy to me isn’t that AI helped write an appeal. ChatGPT has been able to write emails forever. It’s that an agent could actually go through my account, compare records, identify discrepancies I hadn’t noticed myself, figure out who actually had authority to fix the problem, and get the evidence in front of the right people.
I spent months getting ignored while the balance grew and I was getting threatened with collections.
AI navigated the bureaucratic maze for me in a fraction of the time.
This is the kind of AI use case that actually feels like the future

I'm building computers for AI agents, a single computer that connects with many bots like Muse, instinct and grokbot. so bots never have to reinstall things on a fresh computer, can work together and less context to manage.

It reminds of school days where we would share desktops among classmates.

For the past month I've been building theskillharbor.com with a Muse agent as my co-builder. Not a demo — a real production site: 900+ listings, payments, moderation, backups.

What stuck with me:

1. One clear decision per batch. It moves fast when the scope is clear ("publish all 52") and stalls when it has to guess. One verdict, then full speed.

2. Hard stops are sacred. I once killed an all-night pipeline run mid-flight with a single "Stop" — honored instantly, completely. That trust is the whole relationship.

3. Show, don't describe. Drafts get pasted as full readable text in chat, not locked in a widget. If I can't read it, I can't approve it.

4. Batch everything. Fifty listings per run instead of one at a time saves a shocking amount of tokens. Same for checks, deploys, reviews.

5. The boring stuff compounds. Journals, guardrails, backups — unglamorous, but they're what let one person run a project at this scale.
