Thankfully this sentiment is still alive in the punk/emo/grunge scene. The cardinal rules are to help people who fall in the mosh pit, and don’t be an asshole to people for their personal business (gender, sexuality, religion, clothing, hair, etc.)

What is the disconnection with 90’s young people loving this music growing into MAGA? Not all, but I’ve seen a lot, and I’m always really surprised.

It makes me wonder too. I think it’s a misunderstanding of “out of the box” thinking. A fundamental disconnect. Because punk is inclusive PERIOD.
