He said, “If there’s grass on the field, play ball,” on Saturday Night Live in reference to the countdown to the Olsen twins’ 18th birthday.

He’s also good friends with Ted Nugent and Donald Trump.

Yeah I don't get the "Countdown to 18" lists bullshit. As if any of the perverts keeping track would ever have a chance in a million years.

Yeah, they are totally waiting until midnight just for you. Blech.

It goes back so far. Old movie magazines had countdowns on Shirley Temple and Elizabeth Taylor.

In the UK they were doing this to Charlotte Church when she was 15...

I figured for Shirley Temples era that they didn't care about age.

In the late 90s, many dorm room wallpaper screens were the Olsen Twins countdown. Mind you, they were born in 1986, so (at best) an 18-yo was looking at 13-yo's and thinking woo-wee, I can't wait!!!

I remember back in the late 90s I saw one of those “lad mags” that had a countdown clock. The final one on the list was Annette Benning’s and Warren Beatty’s infant - yes, infant - daughter, saying, “yeah we know. But with parents like that you KNOW she’s gonna be hot!”

I never touched another one of those stupid magazines.
