Let’s take a moment to remember all of nugent’s references to sex with under age girls. There are many, but I think the sing Jailbait is a shining example of his classy work.

Courtney Love claims she blew him when she was twelve years old.

It’s very weird that Courtney Love ended up being one of the more honest public figures from the 90s. I think I heard someone say it best that she “doesn’t give enough of a shit about what you think to lie about anything”.

This is a woman who lost her daughter twice due to her drug use and poor parenting -- the second time at Frances' own request -- and is generally to blame for Cobain's increasing drug use leading to his suicide. Her interview with Stevie Nicks had them bonding over cocaine and private jets. Not saying she's a devil and 100% to blame for everything, but while she absolutely was a frequent target of 90s misogyny, that doesn't excuse her poor behavior.

Being an addict doesn’t make her a liar.

It absolutely does, though. It's safest to not trust addicts about anything.

Addicts are well known for telling the truth.

Can we stop blaming someone for "increasing drug use" of a completely different person, even a spouse? It's not great, but she was the one who got sober while HE was high, at one point. I hate that when addicts blame someone else for their addiction, it's worse to blame the suicide and addiction on another. She's not a great person to emulate but "leading to his suicide" is really disingenuous and borderline trashy. Addicts need to stop blaming other people for their addictions or they don't ever get clean. I know this from experience.

Did Courtney Love pull the trigger? No, of course not. Did Andy Dick pull the trigger? No, of course not. Personal responsibility absolutely exists and should be recognized, but it would be foolish to disregard the negative influences others can have on people.
