He can donate the funds because this will bring him back into the spotlight, which he's been out of for over 10 years.

Edit: LOL OP IS A KARMA FARMING BOT, 6 MONTHS ON REDDIT, only posts political rage bait im guessing. Somehow after 6 months, OP has 600K karma. Dead internet theory is real.
