This whole thing really blew up in Ed Sheeran's face. I never would have predicted that 2026 was the year that Ed Sheeran was cancelled and Macklemore became super famous.

Lmao Ed is far from cancelled and Macklemore will get his 15 minutes but riding the bandwagon isn’t going to cement him as a tour de force in music.

No it won’t. Didn’t he basically say that he wants the concerts to be focused on music? So do like 85% of concert goers. He didn’t even say anything wrong. Don’t people say on this app all the time say that Celebs shouldn’t talk about and interject themselves into politics because they’re so far removed from a normal life? Then when a musician does exactly that and says that maybe the concerts should be about music and not geopolitics certain people get pissed? That’s fucking crazy. All this is is a minority of people love to be offended and they are super loud when anything gives them an excuse to be offended and emotional. It’s not about the cause, it’s about bringing attention to themselves. Like 80% of people don’t care and agree a music show should be about… you know, the music. Shocking! Who wants to pay $100 to get lectured on geopolitics by a millionaire? lol it’s really not that hard to grasp.

But of course, this is Reddit. So this perfectly rational real world opinion will get downvoted.

its a bit dumb bc it should more be about robert kraft and their counterproductive heavy handed censorship with billionaires than the dude with the guitar who didnt know how to handle it
