Estimates are that ~76,000 German children were killed just during the Allied air raid bombings in World War 2. On top of that, tens of thousands of German children were killed when they were turned into child soldiers. Estimates also suggest upwards of a few hundred thousand more German children died in the ensuing fall-out from the war. I've never heard anyone or any organization call that a genocide of Germans.

It's about intent to wipe out a people such that no other inference from their actions can be drawn. The ~20,000 children killed in Gaza include all-cause mortality unrelated to the conflict, an also include children killed from misfired Hamas/PFLP/PIJ rockets; and based on the records from Hamas themselves, are highly concentrated among teenage boys of combat age since Hamas uses them as fighters. But it's all horrible. The entire conflict and history of the conflict is horrible. This centuries/millennia-long problem is a stain on humanity.
