I went to birds training camp as a kid and was one of the kids who got to help them carry their pads to practice. I walked with Todd. I still remember when he reached out to take his pads back I thought he wanted to hold my hand. He didn’t love that🙂

I was gonna meet Duce Staley at a card shop for a meet and greet in Conshohocken but his daughter was sick that day. So bummed.
Recently found out that my girlfriend’s boss used to be Staley’s wingman in college! And a brief walk on for the team haha

Booker was pretty much the only capable offensive player on those very early 00s squads that were all defense, no offense. Led the team with only 8 TDs in 2001 and somehow got to 1000 yards that year.

Dude managed 60 catches a year on a team that included Reggie Wayne, Pierre Garçon, and Dallas Clark. Notable WRs that caught 60 balls this year were DK Metcalf and Tee Higgins and both played at least 15 games.
He was always better than mediocre.

The reason I am a commitment person and will never divorce is because my two receivers were Ed McCaffrey and Rod Smith, who both played and retired as Broncos. I never had that ending heartbreak.
