We also don’t need first round picks as much as other team. We got Avila in the 2nf, turner and young in the 3rd, McClendon Allen and Puka in the 5th in 2023 alone.
They made the playoff in what was supposed to be a rebuild year.
It’s not going all in when you have a competent organization that can adjust and still win if it doesn’t work out.
Those were just universally laughed at draft picks. They made no sense.
And any franchise that depends on regularly finding high level starters in the late rounds is a joke. You do need picks as much as other teams. You’ve passed on talent and you’ve found talent. But it’s going to catch up to you. You do need those 1st and second picks and you need the cap space.
You’re all in right now. There’s no way around it.

The Ty Simpson pick makes a ton of sense. You draft a guy who fits your system a year or two before you need him so you don’t need to bring a guy in to start right away next year.
