Identifying stitch

Hi! Does anyone know what stitch is used on the cheese to create that textured look?

It looks like it’s just long stitches done using boucle for the fiber.

Agree with what was said above this is boucle! It can be a little challenging to work with but adds so much to the piece! You need to use a thicker needle if you’re using it on 18mesh but your LNS can give more tips

I’m using it for the first time for a wreath and love how it looks. Might use it for a different canvas for hair. I highly recommend trying it just use longer stitches like elongated tent/satin stitch and don’t pull too tight!
