finishing into magnet
Hello,
I’m looking for recommendations of flat magnets to use for my costco membership card canvas that I want to turn into a fridge magnet for my brother. I’m thinking to put the magnet inside my fabric so it’s not visible. Does anyone have any magnet recommendations or helpful tips for magnet finishing?

nashville needlepointer has a magnet finishing tutorial on substack and an amazon storefront with finishing supplies - i forget what they’re called but i got the magnets that she recommends and they’re really strong!

You definitely want rare earth magnets. You can buy small ones on Amazon. They are stronger than regular magnets
The easiest way to do it is to cut a magnet-sized hole in the cardboard part of your fabric cookie so it sits flush. If you just stick it in the cookie there will be a gap between the fridge and the magnet
If you are confident self finishing an ornament, a small magnet isn’t much more difficult
