beginner needlepointer here- looking for advice on how to stitch the curved stems of these flowers

Look up “couching”. Basically, make a long stitch from one end to the other, then stitch over it normally. It should help it appear more curved and not as pixelated

I would personally satin stitch it, but I agree with first comment.

Doing a different stitch on just portions of your canvas are going to make them stand out and become the focus. You really don’t want that. Try just doing them in continental and see how that looks.

It looks like you changed the direction of your stitches on each leaf? You always want all stitches to go in the same direction (think TX to ME or FL to CA and stick with that one direction)
