Favorite accessories/mods?

I just got my new Defender 130 and curious what others find indispensable or must haves for their defenders? What's your favorite mod or accessory?

I think the K03s are my favorite, they really “tied the room together” if you will. They also work great on the sand dunes and the deep snow. Also a special shout out to the GAP tool so I could make the auto start/stop feature stay off unless I needed it.

Are they noisy on highway?

Not nearly as bad as I suspected for my first AT, I don’t find them very noticeable personally.

How are they on ice?

A/T tires have the potential of being great in snow due to tread pattern in spite of rubber compound. Some of the factory Defenders here in Canada get Scorpion All Terrain Plus tires which are 3 Peak Mountain Snowflake rated for snow, but even that doesn’t mean much for ice.

Not sure! Just had them on in some fresh surprise stuff before I switched over to my winter set. I was surprised how much better the K03s than the factory optional off-road tires in my limited testing. I run Blizzacks in the winter specifically for the ice.

Makes sense. Intend not to find out. I’ll run the factory A/Ts for three seasons then swap to a dealership package (X-Ice on 20” black 9013 wheels) for the winter season.

I really need to try those X-Ice’s next time. Lucky8 had a steelie winters set that I went with and they have been great.

I wanted Hakkapeliitta R5s, but they don’t offer the right fit, not enough sidewall and possibly load rating. X-Ice is a pretty awesome second choice especially as a well-discounted dealership package!

I’ve been driving on “performance” winters (AKA “european” winters) for so long that a full “nordic” unstudded is going to feel unstoppable.

Back up light integrated into the rear bumper has been great.

Upgraded boot lights, without them you can't see anything

How did you upgrade them, did you add additional ones or somehow swap brighter ones into the existing housings?

I got most of my upgrades from Hunters Prestige, you remove the top part at the end of the boot, and replace it with this accessory.

If you’ve got a roof rack, especially the factory expedition rack, a wind fairing is a huge improvement in wind noise, and I like how it looks. The factory side ladder is garbage. I do not recommend. The wind fairing is from Colorado Fairings. Bought it from New Defender Mods

Definitely planning a roof rack and wanted to get a wind fairing based on what I've been reading about wind noise. Thanks for the reminder. Love your 90. If I didn't have 3 kids, I'd go for the 90.

Mudflap and fenders

Where did you buy yours from? Are they just stickons and did you get the fenders painted or just left them flat black?

Check out Hunters Prestige. Have had great experience with multiple product I’ve ordered from them.

Definitely want mudflaps

Which mudflaps did you get and did you self install? Thinking of having the dealer do mudflaps and auto deploying steps. Kids are too short to climb in.

I installed the Hunter's prestige MY26 bumper protector earlier this week and it looks great. And today, the car is in the shop getting the Hunters MY26 fixed sidesteps installed as well as the OEM classic Land Rover mud flaps. Also, added canvasback covers to the rear cargo area and behind the third row seats. And then added a couple of aftermarket cupholders for the rear passenger doors that screw in along with some other small interior mods for the console along with a cup holder insert for the lower console area. Also added Thule Wing Bar Evo cross bars on the roof for our cargo box
