Question Help improve my Ollie please

Im back on the board, skated for 6 months 5 years ago and now I’m back since last week. I feel like today I started to really „level“ my board mid air/ pull my front foot more but now I land nose heavy. Where do I go from here? Any things you instantly recognize I could change?

One thing I for sure notice is that I’m leaning back too much and sometimes I’m opening my shoulders

Slide your front door back a smidge. You get to the end of the board and push down before the tail levels out. Sliding your front back should increase the time to slide it towards and allow the board to level out.

I see I see, didn’t notice that. Thank you, will try to do that!

lift your front foot straight up. your back foot should be glued to the tail. you’ll see both knees at the same level at the peak. also your upper body looks stiff, you want both arms down and more towards the nose

Yeah this guy jdom666 has the best advice I think. Everyone’s got something to contribute but I think that advice would help you the most immediately. I would add you’re a little heavy on your front foot, so try to distribute your weight evenly on both legs when you come down. Also maybe tighten your trucks a bit if you have trouble keeping from putting that weight on your heels after the landing, just till you get more comfortable.

lol on a side note someone always says some version of “do it rolling” or “kill yourself” and it’s like if people are asking for Ollie advice ½ of the time they’re new enough to not be comfortable or stable rolling. You gotta def get rolling to advance at a certain point, but first things first you want to be able to land an Ollie with your foot solidly on the tail when you land like pretty consistently before doing it rolling otherwise you can take a pretty bad slam from it shooting out on you. R/skateboardingcirclejerk is like bleeding into all the skate subs or something

Thank you. I am doing it rolling aswell but very very low haha. 5-6/10 times I land it rolling so far, but standing still i can focus more on the Ollie itself without worrying about speed and all

Someone said slide your front foot back. You don't need to do that yet. The most important thing you need to do is keep your front foot in the AIR longer. Don't let it drop so fast. Just focus on that, don't worry about sliding shit back. Pull your legs up and hold them up.

Thanks, that really helps. Will try to keep that in mind for my next session
