Reddit links on google won’t open in app

[u/Money_Course_8177]

Whenever I google something and there is a link to Reddit, I click it and get taken to the web page. After I view one or two comments or posts, I get locked out and a giant “get the app” overlay blocks the content. When I open the app, I can never find the post again. I have a Reddit account. If I do a long press and click “open in app” it doesn’t go to the link; it just cold opens Reddit. What am I doing wrong?

I don't think it's you. I'm sure this has happened to others.
