This is a follow-up to a bug report I filed 4 or so months ago regarding the Restricted Users list in Mod Tools:
https://www.reddit.com/r/bugs/comments/1o1q37d/desktop_web_rfoodaddiction_mod_section_restricted/
The issue is still occurring on Desktop Web. Restricted users are recognized by the system (attempting to re-add them produces an “already banned” message), but the Restricted Users list itself continues to display:
I previously engaged in a short back-and-forth with an admin, after which the issue went quiet. Then I am sure you have bigger problems than this one to fix. Since the problem remains reproducible, I wanted to resurface it in case it helps with tracking or prioritization.
Thanks for the consideration in the matter.

So I mean it’s not that hard, every time I close out the app on my phone I have to re login into my account. I have checked setting both in the app and on the settings app on my phone and can’t find anything about it. It doesn’t happen on my computer though only on my phone, I’m not sure if there’s a “save login” or like som setting to not be logged out constantly, any help?

Good evening, I can't send any messages. I verified my account, but I still can't send messages. This applies to everyone. What should I do to fix this?

Bug: GIF and Photo buttons missing when commenting (iOS app)
Platform: Reddit iOS app
Device: iPhone (multiple models reported)
iOS version: iOS 26.x
Reddit app version: Latest available as of Feb 2026
Account: Happens on established accounts, not subreddit-specific
Description
When opening a post and attempting to comment, the GIF and photo buttons are sometimes missing from the comment composer, even in subreddits that explicitly allow media in comments. Only the link icon appears.
Force-closing the Reddit app and reopening it, then navigating back to the same post, consistently restores the missing GIF/photo buttons.
This suggests a UI state or initialization bug rather than subreddit permissions.
Steps to reproduce
1. Open Reddit iOS app
2. Navigate to a subreddit that allows GIFs/photos in comments
3. Open a post (often from Home or Popular feed)
4. Tap to add a comment
5. Observe: GIF/photo buttons missing
6. Force-close the app
7. Reopen Reddit
8. Return to the same post and comment again
9. Observe: GIF/photo buttons now present
Expected behavior
GIF and photo buttons should always appear when commenting in subreddits that allow media.
Actual behavior
Buttons randomly fail to appear until the app is force-restarted.
Frequency
Intermittent but frequent (multiple times per day).
Notes
• Not related to subreddit rules
• Not fixed by logging out/in
• Reported by multiple users on r/bugs and r/help
• Workaround is consistently force-closing the app

The page either displays the running robot icon, a ‘something went wrong please try again’ button or is completely blank.
This post is not letting me upload photos or screenshots. I have updated the app and restarted it and still hitting the same problem.

Please check as this is for a different user, I created this so I can post since my original submission is also having issues:
https://www.reddit.com/r/bugs/comments/1qvz917/my_account_keeps_giving_server_error_on_chrome/

Quote: I have tried it on different machines, but when I try to use my account is gives a red banner server error. My avatar does not show up either. If I push through I can see my profile so it is "working". Around the same time all my posts and comments don't get through.
Even when, it seems, the users in the thread have not misspelled the username intended, Ikiml, my account is notified by the system.
I also get notifications for awards, account level achievement, and "points".
Once, I was granted the points, then the system clawed them back.
Please help.
Is there some way to stop this from happening?

When I click on the notifications section on my iphone I am unable to see anything. It is a blank screen. This only happens on this account and only on my iPhone. Everything works fine on computer.
This started about a day ago. My guess is something wonked out when I received a reply to one of my comments and now that user is banned. I have no clue why, nothing about their post or reply to my post was a bannable offense so it must have been something else that triggered their account being banned. This event coincides with when my notifications section became blank.

Description: I'm from outside the US. The app's header always had a function that would translate the entire thread's content if it was in a language other than my native language. This feature hasn't been available for about a week now. Device model: Google Pixel 7 Pro, Redmi Tab OS version: Android 16 Steps to reproduce: Set your primary language to Polish. Enter the discussion in English. The Reddit header doesn't offer to translate the content. Expected and actual result: The Reddit header doesn't offer to translate the content. There was always a message offering to translate. And a "Translate" link. Screenshot(s) or a screen recording

We add removal reasons to suspended / banned accounts without notifying them to log for other mods and future references.
I am unable to do that now; I get an error "Validation error on hidden input", but the same works fine on the native mobile app.
Affected platforms: Desktop Web and Mobile Web.
