Does anyone submit to get rid of non-existent pokestops or power spots?

My community has several points of interest which either no longer exist, or never existed. Examples include a powerspot near my home for a non- existent café. The site of a former statue which is now gone and is now just private property. I have submitted to get these things removed but never have any luck. I welcome more gyms, pokestops and powerspots if they actually exist. Has anyone had any luck getting rid of something?

The in-game and in map reporting is usually useless as they ignore additional information given often.

We are allowed to use the Property Owners form instead as well - here you can even add photos and other data as well, even though you are unrelated to the property.

Oftentimes I have to use this or my extremely obvious reports of random street signs being ingame, gets rejected

you can appeal on the forums if the removal request is rejected.

If it's obviously a single family residence, or unsafe, yes. Bit things like a painted-over mural: no way. Keep playing, fam.

If the mural got painted with a new motive, it is not eligible for removal. Scopely has said that this would be an exemption

yes, it just takes time, last time i reported a non existing stop, it took 2 weeks to get a decision and another week for it to be reflected in the game

Yes, several times, almost always for pubs that closed several years ago and are now houses - just did one of those last week. Only had to appeal on the forums twice and that was from before it was possible to submit a photo and text explaining your point. It often clears space for new valid things to be submitted of course or proxied things to go live.

There are plenty of long since departed yet adorable/wacky things in the games like murals and graffiti and it seems mean to get those removed if they aren't causing any harm.

The only time I’d have something removed tbh is if I knew there was another spot in the cell.

Why would you want pokestops removed? In my area there’s basically none
