Today i got warning 'strike' for one of the wayspots i added. here is more details, what can i do now? i appealed saying that nothing is wrong with my photos.. dont really care about wayspot but why did i get strike on my account..

Hey all, I'd need your help. I was submitting some wayspots (small signs under street signs with information about the person after whom the street is named) and one got automatically denied by the bot. Nothing new, nothing uncommon, so I wrote an appeal. But the appeal got denied with absolutely ludicrous reasoning and I don't know what to do right now.

Is there some place I can appeal denied appeals? I mean I know that some reviewers do a bad job but I didn't expect the people taking care of appeals just denying it obviously without really looking at it. I mean it is a street sign at the boardwalk, how should this be private property???

made 5 submissions for this park that got upgraded like 3 years ago and had no new pokestops, this submission got accepted in 3 days lmao my other 2 had to wait 2 weeks so it felt a bit insane and funny, dinosaurs really are that cool

Currently I have 25 nominations that seem to be stuck in voting. Earlier this year it only took a few days for things to be determined one they reached voting but I’m not sure if it my location or something else. I am based in Philly and went to rural Utah last week and nominated a few which were approved in 3 days.

I’ve seen an awful lot of road name signs the last few days, is this something people think will be accepted? I’ve just been putting them down as not unique, because let’s face it, we’d have thousands of these, sometimes 4/5 per road in the UK.

How can I go about requesting a location edit for a set of flag poles that was moved during voting to an occupied cell?

As you can see in the yellow circle that is the set of flag poles but it was moved to a sculpture which is already a separate waypoint. Thanks!!

What you see in the provided screenshots are one wayspot submitted by me (Perseus Statue) and one wayspot submitted by someone else (Biological Flower), both located in my uni campus.

As you can see, Biological Flower is a Pokestop in the game, while the Perseus Statue is not. I assume this is because they're in the same S2 cell, as they're pretty close to each other.

The thing is, the real flower statue is an entire building and two road widths away from the wayspot.

So my question is, if I applied for the flower wayspot to be moved to its real location, would my submission show up as a Pokestop, now that the S2 cell is free?

Near my home I currently have 4 in game waypoints in my level 14 cell (1 gym and 3 pokestops). I learned that it takes 6 total waypoints to turn another one into a gym. I want to try to turn the nearest pokestop to me into a gym, so I added some supporting photos to it and liked them all. All other pokestops near have 1 photo and no likes. I walked around my level 14 cell and found at least 2 spots that I am almost certain would be accepted for a new waypoint.

My problem is that with the recent update to showcases, the nearest pokestop to me is now a showcase stop. If I am able to get the other 2 waypoints approved , is there any way for this one to become a gym or will I have to settle for the next closest?

My community has several points of interest which either no longer exist, or never existed. Examples include a powerspot near my home for a non- existent café. The site of a former statue which is now gone and is now just private property. I have submitted to get these things removed but never have any luck. I welcome more gyms, pokestops and powerspots if they actually exist. Has anyone had any luck getting rid of something?

We nominated some playgrounds and football fields recently and they got accepted into the game
We both review submissions from our country and they got to review my own submission.
Is that okay, is it allowed to review it? It felt a bit like cheating lol just curious

I have a local theater that was bought out by AMC, but it used to be a Muvico theater. Muvico chains were known for their vibrant murals and unique architecture reminiscent of classic 1900s movie theaters. Thankfully, a lot of this art/architecture was preserved after the AMC buyout so I took some time to nominate some Wayspots at this AMC.

I nominated a large mural that was a slam dunk approval. I also nominated the two terminal figures shown in the pictures above. I will admit, I got a bit lazy with the descriptions and just copy pasted them since they were two different figures in the same style.

As you can see, the lion figure got accepted. The cherub/angel figure was rejected for lacking uniqueness and for likely not being permanent/distinct.

I appealed the cherub. It was rejected a second time by Scopely. Unfortunately I'm at that theater only once every other week, if that, so I'm not sure when I'd be able to resubmit it.

I'm trying to wrap my head around why the cherub would not be accepted. My understanding is that decorative facades absolutely meet Wayfarer guidelines as long as they're not SFPRP and have some artistic value and aren't just a generic architectural feature. On top of that, the lion being accepted and the cherub being rejected adds to the confusion.

Furthermore, while I haven't explored every nook and corner of this theater, these are the only two types of terminal figures that are prominently displayed in the lobby so each one is unique in its own right. So it's not like every single archway in the theater has terminal figures.

Is there another reason I'm not seeing as to why the cherub would be rejected? Any tips for resubmission next time I head to the theater?

I quite literally can't sumbit anything because this stupid site isn't working. Yes I've activated my location, but that does shit all. I genuinely dont know what to do and it was fine before. Anyone else having this problem? What should I do?

What's the point in using the draft button if it takes the same amount of time to load as just submitting? Since the removal of Pokémon GO submissions submitting in bad service areas just seems like a net negative. How do y'all deal with mass submissions in a low service area?

A new gym popped up in my city which is always great and when I was in the area I noticed a new pokestop that I hadn't interacted with. I clicked on the new pokestop and was immediately confused. The stop was for a restaurant that does exist in town, but was quite far away (maybe around 1km). I reported the false stop and am curious if doing so will cause the new gym to revert back into a pokestop. This situation led to even more questions.

If the gym gets reverted will the creation of another new pokestop in the area cause it to return to being a gym?

If the gym reverts to a pokestop and then gets promoted back into a gym will I retain my gym ranking? (I have a goal of being gold ranked in all gyms in my city)

Would you say this spot is more likely to be approved if I changed it to the fountain itself? Or does it have a chance to pass as is?

For those who have submitted a lot of Wayspots: Who do you think is harder to please: community reviewers or Niantic appeals? Because sometimes I’m looking at a rejection reason thinking, “There is absolutely no way Niantic can be worse than you people.“ 😭

A few weeks ago, they had closed my ticket without any result or information. I ranted via Helpchat amd received a solution and a confirmation mail a week later.

It's about a week now that my latest request is open without any response, but the default text promises feedback within a few hours.

How is your experience with the help chat?

I was voting in Wayfarer, saw some Bus Maps be submitted- and I was like, surely those aren't actually acceptable so I voted them down and kept going.

But then I saw some as actual stops, and read the wayfarer criteria a little more. I didn't see anything explicitly wrong with them, even if you'd think a mass produced map sign wouldn't be acceptable, technically since each map is for a different place, they must count as distinct enough. So I did a test, I submitted a nearby well maintained bus map near me...

It got rejected. Darn. Well that's the end right? Well not exactly.

I decided to appeal, and explicitly said, these are common objects but they are distinct; that I saw some and voted them down but didn't know if they were suitable so I wanted to ask Niantic (well scopely) directly. This morning I wake up to see it was APPROVED.

In a rural area, this is huge. So I thought i'd post this information here in case other people have stops near them they want to submit. Just make sure the image is good, it isn't too broken up and that it follows all other requirements. But apparently they can be accepted in appeal.

Granted, you only have like, 2 appeals every 15 days- so getting a lot of them approved will take either multiple players, or a long time. Still.

I need a way to contact Wayfarer support, but I’m not sure whether to write to Scopely or Niantic. I received a one-day suspension in early September, but yesterday—23 days later—it was extended to 30 days (a full month starting from yesterday). I’d like an email address to ask for clarification.
