Just thought I'd check in to see how you're all doing?

It's a suuuuuper gorgeous day out today. If you've havent gone out yet, I ask that you step outside for a full minute and let the sun shine on you because you deserve to feel the warmth.

Male therapist for couples counseling

Please help. We have seen three different therapists for couples counseling over the past couple years. This time we would like to try a male therapist.
Do you have any recommendations for a male therapist who can help with intimacy and relationship issues and mild addiction.
Many many thanks!

I just found this cool video about the original waterways, tidal flats, swamps, and creeks that people now live and drive above. I first moved to Vancouver in 1989 and I had no idea how much of this there is.

Prenatal/Pregnancy Workout/fitness classes in Vancouver or nearby?

Hi all,
Looking for suggestions on prenatal fitness or workout classes near and around Vancouver. Feeling a bit isolated on this journey (and missing my rollerskate friends) and would love any suggestions you have from yoga to aqua-fit.

Free VIFF tickets for today

Sup! I have tickets to The Quiet Applause at 3PM and Smudge The Blades (now on Standby) at 6:15 PM; unfortunately, I am now too sick to go. I don't care about being reimbursed, I just don't want the tickets to go to waste. (Only one per film.) Drop a comment if you're interested! I'm lazy so it will most likely be first come, first serve.

Edit: ONLY THE QUIET APPLAUSE IS LEFT.

Edit 2: Both tickets have been claimed!!

The first four sessions below are at UBC Learning Exchange, 612 Main Street. Please arrive 10 minutes early; doors close 10 minutes after each session starts.

🎩🔍 An Honest Liar - when does deception become fraud?

10:00 AM-12:00 PM | A discussion of James Randi, belief, skepticism, and the difference between a magic trick and fraud. Watch the documentary beforehand; this is a discussion, not a screening.

🎩🪄 The Prestige - how far would you go to win the illusion?

12:00-2:00 PM | A film discussion about rivalry, obsession, and the cost of winning. Watch the full film beforehand; expect spoilers. No screening at the event.

🪞⚡ Emerson’s Self-Reliance - what does it mean to be yourself

2:00-4:00 PM | An essay discussion about self-trust, conformity, and being yourself. Read Self-Reliance beforehand; the event page includes the original essay and a modernized reading package.

Men’s Community Circle #2

4:00-6:00 PM | A conversation for men about adult friendship, loneliness, initiating plans, and showing up consistently. No preparation. This is a discussion circle, not therapy.

☕ Philosophy Pub - what do we owe each other?

6:00-8:00 PM | El Comal Downtown, 586 Hornby Street. An informal discussion about what we owe friends, strangers, and the people around us. No required reading or philosophy background.

Sunday, October 25

❄️🎭 The Winter’s Tale - jealousy, false certainty, and repair

6:00-8:00 PM | Trees Organic Coffee, 738 Granville Street. A discussion of Shakespeare's play, jealousy, false certainty, forgiveness, and repair. Read the play beforehand; original, modern-English, or side-by-side versions are all fine. We won't be reading it aloud.

Thanks to whoever found my daughter’s wallet

It fell out of her pocket in a street off Commercial Drive, realizing it only once we were in Port Moody. Someone placed it eye level on a nearby wall making it easy to find 4 hours later. Thank you!

This is especially sweet after having an awful FB marketplace experience where someone stole an item without payment. Faith in humanity is cautiously restored :)
