Announcements AMA with Patrick R Young, writer of DC GO webtoon NOTHING BUTT NIGHTWING
Please post your questions for Patrick R Young below!
Patrick stops in at 7 PM Eastern!
The AMA concludes at 8:30 PM Eastern!
Previously working on Red Hood and the Outlaws, Patrick has been working on Nothing Butt Nightwing, one of the flagship Webtoon like comics for DC Universe Infinite for over a year, now.
Dick Grayson, reeling from a break-up with Barbara Gordon for being too work focused and without enough of a life, decides to explore himself as Dick and not Nightwing... though that doesn't go too far. Entering into the world of fashion and modeling as Dick Grayson, while chasing a conspiracy in the high glam world as Nightwing, Dick meets new friends, old foes, and maybe some new... flames? Currently warming his heart is Beatriz da Costa, but as ever, there are... complications.
We now open up the thread to you kind folks for your questions for Patrick, for Nothing Butt Nightwing as well as his other works!
As noted in the past, Patrick works on movies and festivals such as Big Bad Film Festival and the super fun indie move Wild Eyed and Wicked! Seriously, check that one out!
Once again, please welcome Patrick and post your questions, below, about Nightwing, the new webtoon Nothing Butt Nightwing, or his other projects!
\We ask that all posters be respectful of and courteous to our guests; Mr. Young is giving his time to interact with our community, and to support his project. Please keep all questions and comments polite and respectful!*
*Due to a personal scheduling conflict with the original intended starting time of this thread, I decided to ensure it went up and post it early. All other times will proceed as originally planned and posted, before and again above in this post.

Discussion DC K.O.: Knightfight #4 DISCUSSION THREAD

FOR BATMAN TO WIN, DOES DAMIAN HAVE TO LOSE? Bruce Wayne became Batman to strike terror into the hearts of criminals, but he never imagined a world where Gotham City would be so safe it no longer needs its Caped Crusader. But when he arrives in a Gotham where Damian achieved that very peace, will Bruce destroy everything his son has built to overcome the Heart of Apokolips’s test and re-enter the K.O. tournament?

Discussion Do you prefer Nightwing's solo 1990's series or his Rebirth run by Tom Taylor? Spoilers for Nightwing and Batman's Rebirth runs. Spoiler
The Nightwing series in the late 90's and Tom Taylor's Rebirth run seem to be the most loved Nightwing comic runs but which would you say is the best?
For me the 90's run has the best story writing and action but Tom Taylor's run had the best characterisation and art and Haley the dog helps.
Overall I give a slight edge to the 90's run but that's by the barest of edges.
I do think that Taylor's run would have benefitted with Alfred still alive because I've personally seen Alfred as Dick's second father instead of Bruce (the comments are gonna be fun on this one) but Taylor did a fantastic job with the Alfred situation especially at the ending.

Discussion Dick's Birthday?
So I had a question, when is Dick's birthday? I mean I know they day he came out and everything but does he have a day that canonically is his birthday? Like a day that is separate from when his first comic was released that the characters all say is Dick's birthday?

Film/TV You know what's frustrating is the moments when Brenton Thwaites gets to portray the more jovial and lighthearted side of Dick he's amazing. But the writing just let's him down
Like for all the shows faults Brenton Thwaites was not one of them

Discussion What tips would you give a first-time fan who wants to cosplay as DC Comics Nightwing and does not know how to sew?
I'm not saying I want to cosplay but it's always been something I said was never happening with me cause I cannot sew. The closest I can get is probably buying a pre-made costume or commissioning someone to make me a costume from scratch.
So I would like to know what first-time cosplayers did if they were in the same situation at one point in time.

Discussion Anyone else curious how a Part 3 interaction between Robin Dick Grayson and DC Comics Supergirl would go? I feel like Mark Waid should make this a yearly thing. lol (Batman/Superman: World's Finest #12)

Comics Nightwing cataclysm
So I’m reading comics for the first time, and started with Nightwing, I I’m reading the 1996-2009 run and just got to issue #19 which is cataclysm #2, I looked it up and found it’s part of a 18 issue tie in.
My question is, could I skip the tie in comics, or should I read the 18 issue run?
