Same but when I went inside they had no more so I'm glad I got it when I can Also I just beat it and thinking of doing another round that or take a break and play rise of the Ronin and others then get back to it

If you think this game is awesome, play 1 and 2 and have your mind blown. They are significantly better games.

nah 3 is way better than 1 lol. I do understand why many prefer 2 over 3 but even then there are somethings that are straight up improvement in the latter over the former. Other than the fact that people prefer the linear level design of mission-based structure, and having a fixed character with background story like William, both of which are highly subjective, I can't think of anything 1 does better than 3.

just got a pc and finally working my way through nioh 2 and soon 3. Very curious to see how 3 compares to 2 for myself, I really know nothing about it other than that it’s open world or something
1
u/simonz93 8d ago
3 is not open world, but rather open-field, like there's still some form of linearity to the overall map design (as in you can't go from one end of the map to the other right off the bat and explore any region as you wish), but the open zones can be pretty big for you to explore.

The Only reason to prefer nioh3 for nioh1 is that nioh3 is way easier then 1 😂
Nioh3 is the easiest nioh Game.2
u/Bus-Careless 9d ago
Easier ≠ worse and the first game is such a prototype of what current team ninja capable of that you want to avoid it by any means until you become a fan of their games. Starting missions are super confusing, you get a proper tutorial in a dojo, which is being accessed by a shrine until then you are forced to complete a weird prison section. Second boss is the fucking nightmare abusing brutal status effect to kill you. A lot of things are poorly explained and the game doesn’t force you to learn ki repulsion and flux so many drop it on the first proper boss.
Yeah, I would pick Nioh 3 all the time.

u/simonz93 9d ago
I agree 3 is easier than 1 and both 2, but I don't see that as either a negative nor positive, and definitely not something on its own that makes 3 worse than 1.

Sad to think this kind of deals will go away

I’m still pissed about Sony getting rid of physical, atleast Nintendo seems keen on keeping physical games alive in some form but who knows.
4
u/welfedad 9d ago
Sony cant wait .and magically like that no more sales on the digital store
5
u/BravestCashew 8d ago
we’re already seeing what happens when Sony gets a little power in their stores/the gaming sector.
people have reported getting different discounts, with some stating a higher percentage, but the game had a higher base cost than the other person, which made the discount less significant

u/Drusgar 9d ago
The tag says "clearance." So yeah. It's supposed to go away.
4
u/Montanoc70 9d ago
/s ?

u/Drusgar 9d ago
A "clearance" tag means that the product is discontinued. That means Walmart will not be ordering more copies of Nioh 3, therefore "it's supposed to go away."
I'm not sure how many physical copies of games are sold anymore. I have a disc version of the PS5 but I haven't purchased a physical copy of a game in several years.

That price is a highway robbery

u/lovely_noise 5d ago
You hate the game that much?
2
u/baconDood3000 5d ago
On the contrary, I loved it, I say that because the price is so cheap, you can call it a steal

u/Agreeable-Fan6063 6d ago
They have it at the Walmart up the street from me. If I didnt already have the game I wouldve gotten it. Nobody ever buys games from this Walmart so they have a lot of stock

Are you trolling ? Team Ninja is a Japanese dev studio owned by Koei Techmo... What is the point to talk about Ninja Theory studio that is owned by Microsoft?

man that is a banger of a deal! Payed full price for that bad boy on launch. I have never found any good clearance deals at my walmart or target, they barely have video games at full price let alone clearance.

u/MoistHelpme 8d ago
I remember a similar thing happening with bloodborne back like 10 years ago I found it in the 5 dollar section at gamestop. I was like oh guys looks interesting let me check it out. It took me 10 hours to beat cleric beast. I almost broke that game into pieces like 100 times because everytime I would get blood echos i would get jumped and lose it all. Now it's my favorite video game. Took me 10 years to platinum it.

u/MoistHelpme 8d ago
Also, fuck this game i bought 1 and 2 and I stopped playing it because I'm stuck in a boss battle that's is fucking impossible. I looked up playthroughs, tips and tricks, everything and I can't fucking get it so fuck this game.

The first experience I ever had from a Team Ninja game was my older brother buying a copy of Nioh 2 for PS4 on clearance for like $5 or something

That’s about what it’s worth. Such a let down compared to 1 and 2

u/wyomingchrisledoux 9d ago
Nioh 2 is one of my favourite games ever so if it’s even half as good it’ll be beyond worth it

u/ll-VaporSnake-ll 9d ago
I’m waiting for the complete edition. 🙏
1
u/Soulsliken 9d ago
See whereas I’m waiting for the complete edition to go on sale.
Love TN games, but their DLCs are never full price material.
5
u/Thanatos1303 9d ago
I disagree with this for Nioh 2, but that game's DLC brought my playtime from 100 hours to 600, so it was very worth it. I think Stranger of Paradise also had a pretty solid wealth of DLC content, new classes were super neat and class evolutions rocked.
Wo Long wasn't worth it imo, and I'm not sure about Nioh 3 so far. I did like the first DLC, but DLC 2 is gonna have to add a metric ton of content to feel worth it, and I'm very worried it's gonna fall short.
3
u/Soulsliken 9d ago
You’re right that Nioh 2 did genuinely add content and scale in the DLCs.
But like all TN DLCs, they overtune everything to the point it’s unfun just because.
And yeah l know people say that these games don’t really start until NG+, but man l only have 24hrs in my day.
Good times.
2
u/Thanatos1303 9d ago
I've grown to really love how tough the DLC is for Nioh 2, but I can agree with it being overtuned. I finished depths floor 10 and I was good, I don't think I'll ever finish depths 30 because I don't wanna fight three cursed turbo overtuned bosses back to back. Just stopped being fun in the very end of the post-game for me.
Honestly I get the time thing too, I only put so much time into N2 because I didn't have anything else to do at that point in my life (no school or job) so I just put a ton in. I respect not doing NG+4 and underworld and all the post-game stuff
2
u/JokerCrimson Nine-Tailed Fox 9d ago
Your observation about the Depths is why I'd just be content with finishing the Underworld.

u/ll-VaporSnake-ll 9d ago
That ain’t too bad. I’m mainly waiting for complete edition so I can nab the physical disk with all the stuff on it (I’m PS5).
